listen i consider myself an empathic person but after a certain point i get sick of other people’s problems. my friend is always talking about how the jewel-eyed skull on their mantlepiece is tormenting them w its sinister beauty and im over it. like dude i don’t want to talk about this anymore. get rid of the fucking skull

maybe i like my tech a little bit inconvenient

maybe i like pulling out my debit card instead of using apple pay. maybe i like untangling my wired headphones. maybe i like typing something into the search bar instead of using siri or whatever. maybe i like curating my own social media feeds over an algorithm. i just don’t think everything has to be perfectly streamlined and efficient i like it when things feel tethered to the real world.

what if u lived in a small town and u were GAY and MISERABLE and u KILLED URSELF and then u WOKE UP in ur COFFIN even tho u asked to be CREMATED and u dug urself out and u had to look ur parents in the EYE and they still LOVED U and u meet another dead man who thinks ur the MESSIAH and runs a CULT about ur EXISTENCE but he FALLS IN LOVE WITH U AS A SINGULAR PERSON and then the SHOW ENDS AND IS NEVER RENEWED.

to be honest there has never been a fictional character i’ve actually wanted to date. like. i want them to date each other. i don’t want myself as a person to be involved in this scenario whatsoever. what would i add to this narratively? what’s my thematic purpose in the narrative? immersion breaking.
