Mahou City is an arcadey shoot em up based on "Battle City", an old NES game.

Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights is a 3d metroidvania (yes really) developed by Heavy Iron Studios, who are probably best known for their Spongebob games.

Cliff Hanger is a Japanese beat em up about a girl who smacks people around with heavy chains while balancing on airplanes. I love you videogames.

Secure Link is a Megaman-inspired platformer featuring a bunny. That about sums it up.

Don't even pretend that you don't know what Sonic Adventure is. Developed by Sonic Team, it was the hedgehog's first game in full 3D, and one of the most unique platformers out there. This is just a quick look at the level design.

Shogun's Blade is a somewhat bland musou-inspired game developed by Tamsoft, creators of Battle Arena Toshinden and Oneechanbara.

Monsters Inc: Scream Team/Scare Island is a 3d platformer for the PSX, PS2 and PC. It takes place before the events of the first movie, but that really doesn't matter. What does matter is that the game has a fun -if slightly distant- personality, and pleasant music.

Miku Monogatari is a cute little platformer that came out just in 2013. It takes inspiration from Castlevania and several other classic platformers.
