Plastic crown

it's probably not a stretch to say that pitayaberry's primary form of bonding was probably in fighting. maybe it started as a serious thing and became familiar over time, or maybe it was understood from the beginning that the both of them found it fun and needed the release. Either way, it's definitely a large part of both their lives i think.

(there was originally going to be additional versions of this, including holly's classic armour outfit and one with hints of Tarte Tatin in the bg, but unfortunately i had to limit my scope a bit just so i didnt spend a thousand years on this one project lol. still, in my mind i pretend there are more)

this one is the most self-indulgent of the headcanons we've built tbh, that royalberry is half dragon. pitaya is not really the sort to linger so they dont really take on a parental role beyond occassionally testing royalberry/the kingdom to make sure they are still strong enough to survive any threats that may come. (this is misunderstood by the citizenry as pitaya being a scourge they must deal with, but no one seems to notice that rarely are there any casualties from pitaya's 'attacks'. almost like the purpose is less to wreak death and destruction and more to keep the wits sharp for both themself and their family.)

(Pitaya was quite disapointed for a long time at how gentile and non-aggro royalberry ended up being, and it was a point of contention between holly and pitaya for much of royalberry's childhood. eventually they figure each other out and pitaya loosely equates the politicking of the royal house as it's own respectable type of Fight- even if they do not entirely understand it. by the time the twins are brought into the picture pitaya and royalberry have a distant but cordial relationship)

Pulled the design from the Portrait of the Queen Mother, it seemed appropriate that Holly would feel the weight of the crown most after being dressed up and paraded around in reverence. and where does one go to escape the worshipful stares and mounting expectations? to one who will mince no words and has no expectations of her at all. running wasn't the most healthy coping mechanism, but it was the only thing she could do in that moment, and pitaya helped it along by pointing out how stupid all the royalty stuff is and how ill-suited she is to it.
