i wish they had killed criston at harrenal, it would have been such a good parallel to how he was partially responsible for harwin strong dying at harrenhal. criston, who’s fighting for alicent but also out of hatred for rhaenyra for not wanting to run away with him, dying in the way he inflicted on harwin strong for taking his place with rhaenyra and being satisfied with his role as rhaenyra’s mistress where criston refused it… harrenhal being haunted by death mirroring how criston is convinced if his own inevitable end… the irony of criston’s last straw being abandoned by aemond when aemond is actually hidden away in the same castle… i should be writing this show except if i were writing this show he and gwayne would have fucked crazy style first
