Pixelated monarch

I worked on one of my dolls today and tried making clothes for it. But, my doll that I sculpted is just too tiny. I’m already making sketches for a bigger doll.

It’s past midnight. Let’s draw something quick! This is just a quick study of a sculpture of Alice through the looking glass in England. I’ve been wanting to go on a vacation really bad. My dream is to travel abroad. But, I simply can’t afford it. If I do take time off from work I can only afford to stay home. i used to draw every day. But, I’m out of practice. I have to keep reminding myself that there is more to life than work. I struggle in managing free time with things I like to do. I’ll be getting together with friends in preparing the small art exhibit in my local library. I need to make doll clothes from scratch. :)

In July, I will be displaying my homemade BJDs in a library. I really want to get my recent one finished in time. Lots to do. I need to create a dress for my lamb doll too.

I’ve been hanging out with my friends and working on my doll. I hope to post a picture of it soon.

Sculpting and sanding while listening to metal music on college radio. I’ll be connecting the head cap soon and working on the ball joints.

I’m working on my doll a little bit more. So far I’ve used wire, Elmer's glue and cotton before applying actual clay onto the antenna. I cut up more pieces with my exacto knife. Feeling nostalgic and played Disney’s Spectro Magic music. I worked at Disney World once upon a time as an intern helping with the technics for the parade. It was a fun job.

Sometimes bad memories come creeping in on me that I wish I could forget. It’s not fair. Certain things just leave me confused. All I can do is just record my thoughts, release it to a higher power and pet my cat. Aside from that, it’s my second month of going to the gym. I overdid my forward lunges last time I was there. Going up and down stairs hurts. I’ve been very busy. Too busy right now to work on my doll sculpture. But, I’ll get around to it.

The cats were being naughty today and spilled my Bjd pieces all over the floor. But fortunately, I found all the pieces. It’s able to stand without elastic. it’s week two of going to the gym. I’m grateful to have a friend who meets me at the gym. So far, I’ve lost three pounds.

Just some show and tell. I made a decoden at a class at my public library years ago. I still have it. I would love to make another one.

Impulsively, I got a gym membership. I have a friend who will be meeting me there.

Boy for new years, should my resolution be to lose a shit ton of weight and hook up with the first person that says they love me ( for me of course? Or, should I dedicate my year learning how to be a kick ass 2d animator and doll artist? Self discipline is key. Hmm. I only have 12 minutes to decide which one when the ball drops. I’m a simple creature. I can’t choose both.

I got new brushes for my procreate app. So, I tried them out on my day off while I was hanging out with friends for coffee. I had Metallica’s “of wolf and man” while in my head while drawing this. Ugh! I need to draw more.
