The last time I reblogged this it had a huge chain of reblogs that showed progress towards a goal. However, that goal has been met! My sister and I still need help, but less so now that my sister has a job. I'm still trying to get one and hope to soon, but haven't been successful yet.
How much we actually need I'm not sure about. My sister said a little while back, after we conferred with each other over what we had in our bank accounts, that we have collectively about $3400. I paid power last night, which brings that down to about $3250, and after rent today and internet on the 16th it'll be about $1370. My sister also said she'll make about $1300 per month at her job, so we should have about $2670 next month if we're frugal, which is enough for rent and bills.
But this isn't sustainable is the problem, if I don't get a job soon that means we'd be losing money since rent is higher than her paycheck alone, so in September we'd be in trouble again.
As I said, I'm still trying to get a job, and hopefully I do get one soon and I won't need any more help. But on the off chance I don't, the new goal will be $800 by next month. More would be better, but $800, if combined with my sister's paycheck, would mean we're at least not losing a big chunk of money from rent and bills.
