“I don’t care if you don’t want my help, I’ll do it anyways.”

“You really need to stop drinking. I’m serious.”

“This time you got yourself into a hospital. I think that’s a sign.”

“Are you sure you’re okay?”

“You need to stop doing stupid shit like that or you will get yourself killed.”

“I’m your friend, of course I care!”

Yes. It is me, Albafica. Those words were definitely the most beautiful thing he had ever heard and those warm and gentle hands around his own were enough to make Albafica believe that this was true. It wasn’t another dream that would end once the sun was rising again. This time, it was real and it was one of the most wonderful moments in his life.

The smile on his face grew wider as tears kept rolling down his reddened cheeks. He was so happy, words couldn’t describe how he felt. Nothing in this world could have been better than being reunited with his beloved master and father. Albafica’s free hand was placed on Lugonis’s hands, still shaking slightly.

"I made you suffer so much... Albafica. I have no excuses." The sorrow for what he did escaped his lips even though the moment was one to rejoice. "I am sorry."

Lugonis didn't know what to say or how to act yet. One moment he was suffering in the cold of Cocytus, the next he was back. There were no instructions or warnings, just a force that pulled him back to the world of the living and let him alone there with no requests for a deal.

“If you’re cold I can get you a blanket.”

“Aww, are we cuddling?”

“Don’t get too used to this.”

“If anyone asks this never happened.”

“I don’t need to cuddle you to keep warm.”

“I’d rather freeze than cuddle with you.”

“You’ll freeze to death if you sit on your own.”

“What? It’s not like I stink, come over here and cuddle me.”

“I said cuddle me.”

“Here, I’m taking charge, we’re cuddling.”

“If you don’t like the word cuddling we could call it ‘warmth trading.’”

“I am not cuddling, I am trading body heat with you.”

“I’d rather throw myself in the fire than cuddle with you.”

“I’ll just pretend you’re someone cute while we cuddle, if I close my eyes it might work.”

“We have a fire, we don’t need to cuddle.”

“It would be romantic if you cuddled up with me in front of the fire.”

“I don’t want to romantically cuddle with you, this is a necessary evil, there is no romance involved.”

“Stop looking at me like that, it’s cold.”

“I don’t want to hear about this ever again.”

"Albafica." Lugonis answered the many questions with the name of his beloved child, callimg him ever so loving and sweet as the tears confirmed this was him.

Both hands held the one that reached for him. Both warm and gentle, calloused of the many years and constant training, yet still gentle. This wasn't a dream or a trick from the dream gods. Reality was plain and clear in front of him.
