💝: What would my muse consider a “perfect gift”?

The thing is… DM has super low self-esteem and is always hungry for some kind of validation from others (even though he’s too proud and awkward to admit it), so honestly ANY gift from someone that at least shows they were thinking about him will 100% get him all choked up and uncertain of what to do with himself. You could legit surprise this dude with some coffee you picked up for him and he’ll be thinking about it all day like holy shit they thought about me what the FUCK what the fuck… He has low standards for attention.

💙: How would my muse handle seeing their object of affection falling in love with someone else? 

Didn’t this already happen with Dite & Saga LMAO

From what I’ve noticed about DM in the games and SoG (ugh YES I have to reference SoG), he fears abandonment from those he cares about. In the games, DM gets very upset when Dite fights against him and makes comments like Birds of a feather, huh… and also accuses Dite of leaving him behind for a shiny new Cloth. And then in SoG, we see DM gloomily staring at his Cloth and continuously reflecting on how it abandoned him before. 

Oh.

Oh, man.

Deathmask seriously didn’t think things through at all. 

When was the last time he had entertained a guest, let alone let one stay over at his temple for more than a few minutes at a time? Most people, his fellow Gold Saints included, only ever saw the main hall during their passage to the exit. His private chambers were another story – another messy and incredibly unprepared story.

Depressing state of the Cancer Temple aside, Deathmask couldn’t help but feel embarrassed. First Albafica had to walk through the gloomy, dimly lit main hall, but now he was standing in the midst of an unsorted laundry catastrophe. One could hardly enter the bedroom without stepping on an old shirt or an empty bottle. It was just as bad, if not worse than, how the floors used to look back when they were adorned with faces. 

                                            What in the WORLD brought this on?

                                                                      His head was SWIMMING when it began & the HUNGER that pooled from the elder had matched his own at one time or another. He knew they couldn't do anything; couldn't ACT on those feelings & in truth, that was FINE with Shiryu. Having Albafica there was enough, even if it was on BORROWED TIME. & everytime they kissed, time seemed to stop for them. He'd kiss the saint FOREVER if he knew time was NEVER going to move from this spot.

                                                                    Hence why this sudden gesture took Shiryu by SURPRISE. But, it was a WELCOMED surprise & met with the same amount of FEVER as administered to him. Shiryu had always seen Albafica as pure; UNTOUCHED like his roses & UNTAINTED by the world as a whole. But Shiryu allowed himself to SURRENDER to this beast; this man who was not the Albafica he had known since he stumbled here. This a different one with the same face. A different man seemingly S T A R V I N G for whatever the young dragon saint could give him.

                                                                   Hands moved. He GROANED. Hearts drummed in their chests & managed to match one another perfectly. The need for air, although a NECESSITY, was pushed aside so that this could be shared between them; yet another CHAPTER to be added to their story. The TAPPING of fingers against his lower back, the feeling of SKIN against his own HEATED flesh caused, what he thought to be ELECTRICITY, surging through his body. His own hands came up & finally DID something; gripping gently the sides of Albafica's face to hold him steady while their lips continued to dance as the elder's own TOUCHED & FONDLED whatever they found.

                                                                   DIDN'T EXPECT HIM TO FONDLE THERE--DETAILS that were soon forgotten as WEIGHT began to push him back further & further until flesh COLLIDED with the wall behind him in order to ANCHOR & SECURE him there--not like he had any plans on leaving. & then their kiss finally BROKE & the apples of Shiryu's cheeks were drenched in SCARLET. Breath labored a bit but it didn't stop him from finding the words to speak.
