Hello, welcome to the Pink Shelves! My name is Rose <3
I figured I should finally make an intro post, since it's been some time since I made this blog.
I am a writer! You can find info on my debut novel on my sideblog: @what-happens-on-the-otherdays
However, on this blog, I prefer to talk about fiction in general - usually whatever is interesting me at the time. Because of this, I may post about one thing for weeks straight and then completely pivot to something else. It's unfortunate, but it's how it goes for me.
Most of my time on here so far has been spent posting or reblogging about movies and television, but I'm planning to lean more into discussions of literature, both to motivate myself to read more and to live up to my actual blog title. That does not mean I won't be blogging about anything else! I will always blog about whatever I am hyperfixated on, and that will not always be books.
When I'm not talking about fiction - which is rare - I make the occasional vent post or post about religion/some other social issue. To protect those who may be triggered or upset by these and similar topics, I write those posts in green rather than my usual pink!
And speaking of - the pink font is, as you may have guessed, a thematic choice meant to reflect my aesthetic, and express whimsy. It has no hidden meaning whatsoever :)
Some more things about me: I'm agnostic, bisexual, autistic and I use she/her pronouns. My hobbies, aside from reading, include community theatre, dancing, writing poetry, singing, and collecting. I'm only here to be weird and fun and make myself smile, but I love to make others smile along the way.
Thank you so much for being here!
