Godzilla : Cranky villager Song that plays in his house : KK Folk Godzilla keeps falling into ALL the pitfall seeds if you forget to pick them up, which upsets him greatly. Surprisingly, has all the furniture you want in his house, but will sell you none of it. You keep running into him when you’re trying to fish and he applauds you when you catch something, even when it’s a boot a tire or an empty can, he’s a very supportive villager. Initial catchphrase is “Skreeonk !” of course. King Ghidorah : Smug villager Song that plays in his house : KK DnB That one annoying villager who keeps visiting you uninvited when you’re just about to move that one piece of furniture. He won’t let you move it. He won’t leave. You have to put up with Ghidorah criticizing your hard work and furniture until he FINALLY decides to let you move that furniture and leaves. Keeps complaining that your house isn’t fancy enough for his tastes. Gamera : Lazy villager Song that plays in his house : Marine song 2001 The ONE villager who keeps changing his clothes to really ugly ones every day. You’re really trying to reset Gamera’s clothes to his original outfit but he won’t do it. He keeps dressing up like an embarrassing dad and has no fashion sense. Very friendly to the player, your birthday will somehow always take place at Gamera’s place year after year. Anguirus : Lazy villager Song that plays in his house : KK safari Anguirus keeps having the little exclamation point and you nearly have a heart attack thinking he’ll tell you he’s moving away from your town the day after, but no, he just wants you to keep changing his default catchphrase. He keeps getting tricked by you retyping the exact same custom catchphrase you gave him the day before. Destroyah : Smug villager Song that plays in his house : KK Metal THE MOST IRRITATING VILLAGER IN THE GAME. Keeps asking you to catch like five coelacanths a day and only gives you pitfall seeds in return. It is rumored that he doesn’t actually give you these impossible tasks for the results, he’s just giving you those to watch you fail miserably from the distance. Will laugh in your face if you get stung by bees. Also has a terrible sense of home designing, his place is horrid looking. Definitely as mean as the original gamecube villagers. Mothra : Normal villager Song that plays in her house : KK Aria Ah thank god finally a good villager. Keeps spamming your mailbox with gifts and heartfelt letters. Her favorite task for the player is the delivery type, she’ll always ask the player to give presents to the other kaiju in town. Possibly the easiest kaiju to maximize friendships with, with Gamera being a close second. Gigan : Jock villager Song that plays in his house : DJ KK Keeps doing the little exclamation point emote like anguirus, also giving you a heart attack making you believe he’ll move. But actually it’s worse. He just noticed the EXTREMELY RARE piece of furniture/bug/fish you’re carrying and is trying to bargain a trade for possibly the ugliest pieces of clothing in the game. Gets offended if you decline the trade. Also keeps suggesting new public works but never contributes to them

i was watching the first episode of good omens with my fam (who havent read the book) and i get excited when i get to share my fandoms. when we got to the part where the hellhound finds Adam, i said to my family, “He names it but he doesn’t!” not realizing what i was saying. 

then later that night it hit me that what i said was true. Adam names the hellhound, but he doesn’t. He gives it a name, yeah, but it isn’t really a name. It’s neither here nor there.

kinda like Crowley and Aziraphale. Crowley’s pretty obviously a kind, compassionate being but he had just enough demon in him to not belong in heaven. But because he’s good, he doesn’t belong in hell either. Then Aziraphale is also clearly a kind person, but we see him acting in questionable and sometimes almost cruel ways. He doesn’t have enough evil in him to be a demon, but he doesn’t fit in with the other angels either. They’re in-betweeners. 

hey you remember death right? the fourth horseperson, who isn’t good or bad, he’s just kinda there? 

agnes nutter? she isn’t defined by being good or bad, just influential?

see where i’m going with this?

it’s all a metaphor for humanity. we’re neither good nor bad, it’s whatever the moment requires. we can go either way.

Good Omens is a book about many things, but i feel like a lot of yall are getting lost in Crowley and Aziraphale’s love story and missing out on the other incredibly well-crafted points in the novel. 

What Pratchett and Gaiman are pointing out is that humans are in flux. We don’t belong here or there, so we make our own side. We’re so used to thinking in black and white that we forget about gray.
