This was the first romance anime I ever watched and BOI was it a great one. I mean Tomoe is just 😍. Would lay down my life for this anime, so do yourself a favor and get onboard.

Herd immunity is the idea that if enough people get immunized against a disease, they’ll create protection for even those who aren’t vaccinated. This is important to protect those who can’t get vaccinated, like immunocompromised children. 

You can see in the image how low levels of vaccination lead to everyone getting infected. Medium levels slow down the progression of the illness, but they don’t offer robust protection to the unvaccinated. But once you reach a high enough level of vaccination, the disease gets effectively road-blocked. It can’t spread fast enough because it encounters too many vaccinated individuals, and so the majority of the population (even the unvaccinated people) are protected.

I was scrolling through Tumblr and came across a post of KNOWN PEDOPHILES ON TUMBLR (many of which have or want to rape actual children/minors)

THERE ARE ACTUAL PEDOPHILES ON TUMBLR TRYING TO GET IN TOUCH WITH MINORS ON TUMBLR

● Be careful who you meet online. Always be aware that they could be lying. Just because they claim to be your age, doesn’t mean they are. (If you find out they are lying, do not confront them–simply block and walk away.)

● Keep personal information safe. Don’t share your address, phone number, etc. Seriously, unless you want a stalker, just don’t risk it. There are other ways to communicate and stay safe. 

Other things you shouldn’t share: High School, City, Appearance, etc. If they ask these type of questions, don’t answer. If they know what High School you go to, they can find you. (Also, this is another warning sign. Tread carefully.)

● Meeting in person can be very dangerous. This is the main concern in regards to safety. There is a very realistic risk of abduction, this is why online predators are so dangerous. Here’s some general rules to follow:

If someone wants to meet up, DO NOT go alone. There’s safety in numbers. Bring friends.

Tell others where and with whom you are going. This way you have a safety-net in case something happens.

Bring pepper spray. As the saying goes, “it’s better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.” Most people won’t be offended. If they are, that’s a warning sign. (This is honestly the best tip to follow…it is very effective.)

Google before meeting. It’s not weird, it’s being smart. If they refuse to tell you their name, DO NOT meet them.

If you’re the secretive type (I get it, teenagers like their privacy), at the very least, have a back-up plan. Leave a note containing the information surrounding the meet-up. Give authorities a better chance of finding you should anything happen.

It’s the December 17th Tumblr Protest, and I hope you all join in with me. Even if you don’t care that much for NSFW art; think about the smutty fics you like—sure, they’re not banned now, but I assure you they will be, eventually, after Tumblr goes through with this ban.

You don’t care for smut in your fics? I get it. But what about, just, adult humor, adult content, getting to talk about your sexuality openly? If you care about any of that, then you should care about this NSFW ban.

This site was never meant to be strictly enjoyed by children; and it’s been a safe haven for adults to talk about adult things or sexuality freely without fear of repercussion. This ban will eventually mean this site won’t be that safe haven anymore.
