GOSSAN’S HANDBOOK (RULES)
Submissions to the event must be made during the Submission Period or Late Submission Period.
Submissions must be completed during the event, including the late submission period.
One single work will not count towards multiple days. This excludes interconnected chapters to a story or comic.
Submissions will only be posted on the day of the prompt, all late submissions for a prompt will be posted during the late submissions period.
NSFW content is not permitted.
Submissions must be appropriately tagged for triggers/spoilers/etc.
All Submissions must have titles. Untitled works will be titled by a mod. (Mod Muse reserves the right to title every unnamed work “A Terrible Fate”.)
Submissions will be made by posting to your own blog and mentioning the blog like so “@outerwilds-events” in the body of your post.

Q: What is A Fest?
A fest is a challenge in which participants choose a prompt or prompts from a list compiled by the fest moderator. It’s like telling tales, sharing art, and making music around the campfire.
Q: Do I have to answer all the prompts?
Of course not, Traveler! That’d be a lot of work! You can answer as many prompts as you want over as many days as you want. You can submit a single work for a single prompt during the whole week, or try to hit them all.
Q: Do I have to write for this?
Traveler, we aren’t all tale spinners and that’s a good thing! You can respond in any medium you want, art, fic, pod fic, playlists, or anything else you can think of is fine!
Q: If I do write, is there a word limit?
Nope.
Q: Is shipping allowed?
Yes.
Q: Are spoilers okay here?
Did they not cover that in training? Traveler, spoilers are fine as long as you tag for it.
Q: What does “open prompt” for Day 7 mean?
The sky’s the limit on open prompt day! You can submit anything you want, as long as it complies with the rest of the rules.
Q: I'm ready to submit! When can I do that?
During the submission period from March 2nd - March 8th on each prompts day. You can also submit any prompts during the late submission period from March 9th - March 15th.

We're retiring the submission feature, that’s for sure. When you're ready to post just post on your blog and @ the event blog somewhere in the post. We will reblog posts in the order they were received.

Yesterday on Mar. 18, 2024, in the UK a bill effectively banning trans-affirming care to minors was not passed because three MPs talked about an animal rights bill, and specifically ferrets, for 5+ hours, preventing the bill even being discussed.
This is, obviously, not the end of the conversation and the bill still may be passed. But at least today, we wen thanks to Ferrets.

If DT’s shape shifting was more of an illusion type thing I would think that their true form underneath the illusion would still be corporeal and thus the illusion would not be able to interact with the physical world, only DT’s form underneath the illusion would, when melog goes invisible they’re still there they are simply wrapped in the illusion (1/2)
(2/2) since we’ve seen that DT’s shapeshifted form can interact with the world as if the shapeshifted form was physical and not an illusion we can only assume that DT does in fact physically change their from, meaning that they change their dna, therefore they ar immortal

i came up with this AU once that EVERYONE was Double Trouble. Horde Prime is actually shapeshifted DT, all of his clones are DT, and somehow a bunch of clones ended up on Etheria at once and made new personas- but they all think they're the only one. Micah, Casta, Angella and Glimmer know about each other, but think they're the only ones. 'Real' DT just decided to play themselves. There's a big dramatic reveal at the end, where someone goes "I'm DT!" and everyone else is like "Me too!"
when me and my sister were halfway through season five when we hadn't seen them in a reAL long time and I was getting bored (they're the only character I was super invested in at the time) I just started saying everytime a character came onscreen "That could be DT" and my sister laughed. Every. Time.
outside of blatent flirting and teasing, dt has some trouble showing affection to their significant other, with one big exception: their tail. their tail is just constantly rubbing up against them when theyre together, and coiling itself around whatever limbs or tail their partner has. also, if this is pointed out, they get embarassed
And DT is so embarrased like, “Ohhhh nooooo, uh, shoot, I’m sorry!” And their s/o is flustered because they know that the tail is a sign of trust and affection and the fact that they’d done that just meant so much.
Going off of that, what if it was the first time? It’s been common knowledge that DT’s tail shows how they feel, but it’s never been actively seen. Until now. Their s/o is starting to cry, they’re so happy, and DT is freaking out. Kinda just coddling their partner like, “Are you okay? Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry,” and their tail is playing with their s/o’s fingers and twirling around their wrist and- yeah, they’re both just being really cute.
It’s the first time, and the s/o DOESN’T know it’s a sign of affection. They’re in an important meeting and as everyone is getting up to leave, they fall on their face in front of an important ambassador or something. At first DT is surprised because THEY didn’t realize they’d done it, it’s a subconscious tendency that they honestly haven’t done much before bc they haven’t been close to a lot of people. But then, to make matters worse, they laugh. Hey, it’s funny! Everything was so serious and then their s/o just splatted on their face!
S/o doesn’t think it’s funny. They think DT just tripped them for kicks. Because that’s something they’d do, right? And DT wants to clear things up but gets too embarrassed. If they’re doing PDA without even realizing it, they must be in deep for this person. They’d rather people think they pulled a mean prank than admit the real reason. So they just let s/o believe they were being a jerk for no reason until they have a fight about it later and have to come clean. And then there’s kissing.
s/o, being in a meeting, has to play it off. “Ah, thank you for that…” DT’s s/o grins, the action forced. “…Kind display of affection.”
Double Trouble freezes. “Ah, uh, I’m sorry?” They look ashamed.
“It’s fine,” DT’s partner huffs, grabbing their wrist and tugging lightly. “But we should go.”
Double Trouble waves sheepishly as they’re dragged out of the room.
The walk home was awkward, even after DT’s s/o let go of their arm. “I’m sorry.” Double Trouble tried once more. It wasn’t working. They were clearly still angry.
“I’ll give you some time, alright?” Double Trouble asked, feeling uncomfortable. “Take your time.” They turned to walk out of the room. They looked back, hand on the doorknob. “Hey. I love you, alright?”
DT’s s/o’s head shot up. They’d never said that before.
