This is my "thigh gap". I am posting this because I want to bring a message forth. A message that says it doesn't matter whether you have a thigh gap, a flat stomach, smooth skin...if you are confident with YOU, then that is the only thing that matters! For years I have struggled with body image issues. People may think that because someone is skinny that they are happy and confident with their body. That is not the case with me. I have always been self-conscious of my weight. Being naturally slender has made me wish many times that I could have the curves other girls do. But no matter how much I wish and hope and pray that I could look different, it's not going to happen. This is me. I was made to be just as I am, and that is good enough. That is beautiful. I am perfectly imperfect. It's going to take time but I am dedicated to bettering myself inside and out. I WILL feel confident and I WILL feel good enough. And with that same dedication and compassion for yourself, YOU can too. Let's stop hating on ourselves and others and start loving and accepting each other for who we are. Is anyone out there? If someone is reading this, remind me I’m not alone. In my mind I truly know that I’m not, but then why does my heart feel so? I feel like I can’t even go to my friends. And that makes me feel kinda bad. It’s just that no one really gets me. Not like I do. No one knows that I’ve cried myself to sleep too many times to count, or how seriously afraid I am that I won’t go anywhere in life. At 25, I feel like I should have accomplised so much more. I feel like I should be in a serious relationship. I feel like I should be able to afford my own place. But I haven’t. I’m not. I can’t. That scares me. I don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t know how to ask for what I need because I don’t know what I need! I know what I want. That much is clear. But the rest...life is just really confusing for me. I feel lost, once again. But I know I’m not the only one. I just have to learn how to find my way.
