Paraphilias are atypical attractions (objectophilia, sadism, etc.)

A paraphilic disorder is when you are struggling with urges, self-hatred, or generally feeling distressed over your paraphilia or acting on your attraction in a way that harms nonconsenting parties.

The key difference here is that one is a disorder involving distress, struggle, and or harm to nonconsenting parties, and the other is just a feeling of attraction. It’s kind of like being gay vs having internalized homophobia.

I am a zoo; however, I have no urges, I don’t hate myself over it, and I don’t act on my attraction. Therefore, I do not have a paraphilic disorder.

I decided to draw out some hanky codes paraphiles could possibly use, inspired by an interaction I had (all credit for the og idea goes to user armyflags).

Zoophilia

I made two different options for a zoo hanky code, as the existing code, fur, was originally for beastialists which is a connection I’d like to avoid for obvious reasons. So I made exclusively anti-c versions. I’m a bit biased honestly and prefer the animal footprint one way more, especially because of the many options it provides and how discreet it is. But I decided to show both ideas for fair feedback.

Necrophilia

This was the idea of the user armyflags, so I only added notes pertaining to the og post while also adding definitions. Not much to say other than I love the idea behind the specific hanky.

Plushophilia

A very simple one but I really like it, there’s just smth cute about having a teddy in your back pocket.

Biastophilia

Last one, I really like the flower symbol I drew despite it not really mattering how it looks as long as it’s a red rose lol (it’s directly inspired by dark friction’s NO-ACT biasto rose symbol).

That’s about it for now, I could make more, but these were already a lot of fun to make, do I expect many paraphiles to actually do this? Not really lol but I think having codes like how old queer kinksters did is a nice thought and may help encourage more irl communities to form for paraphiles, I for one am heavily considering doing the zoo footprint :))
