made some more elo fan dakota pics last week because i like elo and i like dakota.

the background of the first pic was color-picked & inspired by the album cover for time by electric light orchestra. the idea for the first pic manifested prior to me really getting into the story behind time as a whole; i just heard “hold on tight” and thought it’d be a fitting song for dakota to sing (& for cav to accompany on the keyboard!). later on, while i was looking for the album cover for time to make the background, i stumbled upon the wikipedia article for time and discovered that not only was it a concept album about time travel (one of my favorite concepts), but there were three bonus songs that weren’t even on spotify. i took the time to listen to the album in its entirety, and i loved it! the story was interesting, the music was stylistically diverse and amazingly performed, and despite the story overall being rather tragic, it did have its humorous moments (particularly “yours truly, 2095” and the descriptions of the protag’s robot gf), which i enjoyed. i think it has some parallels with cav & dakota’s storyline, since they’re former time travelers trapped in a different time period too (although they got sent back to the past, not to the future like the protag of time), so i could see them enjoying/relating to it a bit.
