I don’t like how black women can’t be toxic messy and flawed in media. Even nuanced strangeness of being alive and lashing out not allowed for black girls and women god forbid if the identity they are navigating is also different too (queer or trans) the only validation of messiness I can get is from white media and it’s not enough or comparable.
I’m scared to make my own though, people can’t even fit a black person in their head who they can’t put into tropes I would be fighting my whole life saying no I don’t think black women or the in between of transitioning from MTF being black is only with anger but it is explored with anger without it being stripped into “you think black ppl are angry” well no but black people have a lot to be angry about. I have stuff I’m angry about. Where do I put it? Should I die with anger sitting in my throat from when I was 13 until I’m 70? I just want to be freed to shout without feeling like an animal that will be hit for it because you can’t imagine black people as human.
