Archipel - Documentaries about Japanese creators and artists. 北原ユシキ/画景-kakkei- - Just an illustrator I really like who often streams. Watecolor with Shibasaki - Just a Japanese grandpa, or Japanese Bob Ross, teaching you how to paint.

New year, new notebook

12.11.2023—had a few slow study days to deal with my mental health. had some time to think through my analysis, so have some more clarity there. hopefully this week i can finish a second full first draft

This weekend was sooo beautiful. I was not thrilled about spending most of today studying, but fortunately I was able to recharge yesterday by hiking and chilling by the pool. The grind of the semester is definitely beginning, so I'm trying to make time for + savor rest and engaging with my passions.

My programming exam didn’t do me well. Well, I hope I still pass. Currently in the middle of my exam season and realized I don’t care enough for myself during it. I need to do better.

I realized that, in the chaos with my illness and everything else, I accidentally skipped my favorite part of the writing process. after reading through my sources several times, following a different logic each time, I like to draw up a long list of random observations in no particular order. since I already have some kind of framework for the subchapter, arranging them will be a bit easier, but, at the same time, the nature of these observations will also shape the subchapter's logic. so, with that, the writer's block is (probably) sorted out, and now I can finally make substantial progress.
