Pemlin week!

I do have a whole Pemlin AU as magical girls, I just haven't expanded it yet jsjsjsbs

I wanted to draw something more elaborate, but I'm running out of time; I doubt I'll be up to date tomorrow. But hey, it's been years since I've seen my family.

The newspapers are full of it, Republic City has a new police chief! Miss Pema has done it! After more than ten years of service, she has achieved the top position.

Many people want to congratulate her, including Air Minister Tenzin. However, it comes at a bad time; it seems our chief has her hands full with a very personal matter.

Enjoy this, it was so much fun! The story practically writes itself in my head, but a fanfic would take me a long time. We're opening with a drawing! And we promise to continue it.

"What did you steal, kid?" Lin asked. The child finally looked up at her, a girl, wide green eyes full of panic, and took off in a sprint. Lin sighed and rotated the earth underneath her so she was facing her direction again, and took her back under her wing while she was stunned. "Never mind, I don't care what you stole. Just—" Lin glanced over her shoulder. The officers were still there. "Just stay here for a minute and they'll leave. They're too fat and underpaid to keep chasing you for long."

Lin is a top-notch soldier, but he loses his body after a particularly difficult mission. Pema is a scientist who is looking for an opportunity to step out of her husband's shadow in the workplace.

It's somewhat inspired by the myth of Pygmalion and Galatea; Pema ends up building something she falls in love with.

"Ushaan" - a fight to the death.

Captain Pema of the NX-01 Enterprise and General Beifong of the Andorian Imperial Guard have had a tumultuous relationship ever since Pema's crew was caught "helping" Vulcan (Air) Nomads with their spy outpost disguised as a place of worship.

Whenever the Human and Andorian meet, it is always memorable. Whether that be because of the fisticuffs they shared that day, or because Beifong's deeply twisted honor system called her to come to the Enterprise's assistance in battle, there is never a dull moment between these two.

General Beifong learned the "pink-skin" language (Federation Standard) to be sure that Captain Pema's universal translator would never misinterpret her words, and the young captain would always know exactly how much Lin hated, or respected her in any given moment.

In the above picture, the women are participating in the Andorian "Ushaan"-- a fight to the death. The participants are tethered together with a metal cable attached to a sleeve on the left hand. In the right hand is the ushaan-tor, a traditional ice mining tool on Andoria. General Beifong challenged one of Captain Pema's Tellarite ambassadors to the duel after the man caused the death of one of Beifong's crew. Captain Pema could not sit idly by and watch the Andorian and Tellerite homeworlds be plunged into war over the incident, so she fought in the Tellarite's place.

General Beifong was more than happy to fight the Starfleet captain... until one of her antennae was sliced right from her head...

I hope I haven't misunderstood the concept; it's a scenario where pain outweighs comfort.

Pema feels responsible for not being able to do more for those who care for her, and Lin is simply defeated; time does not increase her strength.

It's a divorce photo!!! Tenyi will have to face single life after jumping from a long courtship to an early marriage. But Peng? No, he's about to live the life of a trophy husband.

(In my personal headcanon, Lin is named that because it's the closest thing Toph found to Lao, so if she were a man, she would be named after her grandfather)

There is no rivalry between the regent of the nation and the mother of the heir, there is something more, something that belongs only to them.

“Lin…” Pema groaned as she strained to reach the bottom of the crack between the bed and the wall. Falling back onto the bed with a huff, she watched Lin carefully. “I can’t find the key.”
