Peony Lore Part 1 of ?? Childhood in Golmore
Peony was born in the jungle of Golmore as his mother's sixth and final child and was originally named Jinan. He doesn't really remember much about his mother as she was very distant with him and he was mostly raised by his elder sisters Inaya and Safia. He has three elder brothers, Rashid, Saddiq and Ikram but they had already left to become forest wardens by the time he was born.

Peony's eldest sister Inaya was also the only one of his siblings whom he shared a father with, and it was this father whom his sister blamed for their mothers apathy.

Their father was a wanderer whom had already left the jungle before Inaya was born and returned decades later. Though the village elder had banished him and forbidden anyone from interacting with him, their mother still found herself drawn to him and she secretly met up with him several times, during which he would tell her of his travels in the outside world. The two grew close as they did before.
When Sharif left again he had invited Rahaf to join him, her children were all grown and would manage without her, they could see the world together, he would show her all the wondrous sights she would never see.
And perhaps they would have.
But in the end Rahaf lost her nerve, to leave the jungle would be to leave behind all she had ever known and though her children were grown the thought of never seeing them again tore at her heart.
And so the two never saw each other again.
And then Peony was born.
