If you’re a fan of Warhammer and you’re considering getting an Imperium tattoo, here’s a little PSA from your friendly neighborhood Warhammer fan:
Don’t get Imperium tattoos. Just don’t get them. Period.
I keep seeing dumbasses online posting giant Imperial Aquilas on their forearms and it’s clear they have no idea what they’ve done. If you’re thinking of getting any sort of Imperium symbol tattooed on your body, you need to understand 2 things.
1) Imperium iconography takes heavy inspiration from IRL fascist imagery, most notably eagles, Nordic runes, swords, and fists. It’s not hard for someone who isn’t familiar with Warhammer (i.e. most people) to see those symbols and get the wrong idea.
2) Having Nazi or Nazi-adjacent tattoos can seriously ruin your life and I’m not kidding. All it takes is one person mistaking your Black Templars tattoo for a dogwhistle and you could lose your job, your relationships with friends and family, your home, your ability to patronize certain businesses, etc. You could even be at risk of physical harm depending on where you are and who sees your tattoo. People generally have zero tolerance for fascists (for good reason) and will have no problem cutting you out of their lives if they suspect you of being one.
So don’t get Imperium tattoos. Don’t get a double-headed eagle, don’t get the Imperial Fists logo, don’t get the Inquisition symbol, and for the love of God do not get the Black Templars logo. It doesn’t matter what your intention was or how cool you think it is, it’s a bad idea.
I’ve never played Deadlock, don’t have any intention of playing Deadlock in the future, and couldn’t play Deadlock right now even if I wanted to because it’s in closed beta.
But Vyper might be the most entertaining video game character I’ve ever seen and if I was ever to play Deadlock (which I won’t) she would for sure be my main.

The funniest part of DS9's Civil Defense is that there were so many pre-recorded messages. Like Dukat thought a slave revolt was so likely he took the time to pre-record a bunch of messages about it. But better than that is Legate Kell thought Dukat losing control of the station and trying to flee was so likely that he took the time to record a message telling Dukat to stop being a coward.
Like how many other pre-recorded messages were just chilling in DS9's computer?
I'm at a :.|:; for words.
i hope everyone is following TNG Season 8 on twitter because it’s fucking hilarious like

This was the pinned tweet.
So the creator of that account was Mike McMahan, the same guy who’d go on to produce Star Trek: Lower Decks

Street Fighter rosters be like:
-Karate Man
-Wrestling Man
-Karate Man but girl
-Boxing Man
-Borderline Offensive Stereotype
-Secret assassin who’s actually a double agent who’s actually not really a double agent but also is.
-Genetically engineered super-being who wants to use the power of kung-fu to become god.
-Normal guy named Greg or something who can solo the rest of the cast despite having no formal training.
I think it’s awesome how Lancer as a setting is able to accommodate both ends of the fictional mech design spectrum.
So for example, you got something like the Lancaster, which is very practical and straightforward, something that could conceivably exist in the real world…
…existing alongside this thing, the Pegasus, whose default weapon is a gun that doesn’t exist. I’m serious, it’s a gun that breaks physics so that it always hits its target. Just a complete affront to reality in all regards.
And somehow these two drastically different design philosophies are capable of coexisting in Lancer’s world without feeling jarring or out of place. It’s great for player freedom too; are you getting bored of piloting the oversized Boston Dynamics dog? Try the nightmare Evangelion that has the power to kill God!
