Hereās a quick life update about me. I just recently got hired as a project analyst for my first job and Iāve been working for two months now. Along with it is a lot of adulting stuff, I get to pay my own bills, budget expenses, prioritize necessary things and I also did a little bit of stock investing. Itās kinda hard being independent and all of that but I guess thatās how our lives gonna be after leaving the nest. But it also has its perks, you get to decide for yourself, do things on your own, create your own rules and many more. And since then Iām just staying on the sidelines planning my next move in life.
On the other side of things, this post is more of a style post so here it goes. In recent times I met with friend for the first time and agreed to have a photoshoot with him. His name is Pete an indie junkie, music lover and photography enthusiast as well; you guys can follow him on instagram @sevypiet. We headed out to the streets of Bonifacio Global City, Taguig for our location of the shoot which is one of the go-to places for bloggers and influencers.
This is actually one of my usual go-to looks when I go outside and hang out with my friends or maybe go outside for stroll. So I sported out a printed white shirt together with my white shorts and dirty white sneakers (cos I like it dirty *wink*) and layered it with my loose denim sleeves and finished it with a grey cap. I think this look works well with any weather cos you just tie the denim sleeves when itās too hot and just leave it when you feel like it.

Get it, get it? Itās my late birthday post for my 22nd year of existence and twenty two opinions from me about life.
I donāt know whatās valid to say being 22 years old, am I still young or am I old enough? But one thingās for sure is that life has taught me plenty of lessons especially when youāre thriving and trying to be independent. Here are twenty two lessons I would like to impart to you guys and I hope it will help you in one way or another. So here we go:
1. Accept yourself. Start by getting to know yourself, like what are your strengths and weaknesses, the type of person you are, like and dislikes and who you really are cos the moment you acknowledge yourself thatās when you can create a strong and independent you.
2. Start relying on yourself. You need to start doing things by yourself cos whatās the purpose of being independent when you would just rely on others. Begin with simple tasks in your everyday life and from there you can grow and learn how to do different tasks and jobs which are necessary in your life, like what everybody would say āpractice makes perfectā.
3. Toughen up. Life isnāt a walk in the park and Iām sure youāll encounter as much difficulties as triumphs in your life, so you really need grow a tough skin and spine in order to survive. Learn how to stand on your own, defend yourself, speak up and accept failures and criticisms.
4. Believe in yourself. As the saying goes āIf you donāt believe in yourself who else will?ā this is true cos how will others believe in you if you yourself donāt believe in your own capabilities. You need to grow some balls and confidence but not too much cos it can come out as being cocky or arrogant, so better watch out.
5. Be emotionally strong and stable. From my own experience it is really important to be emotionally strong and stable because not all the time youāll have a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to or someone to lean on. You should know how handle the waves of emotions that will come in your life cos youāll never the motion of the ocean.
6. Get used of doing things alone. Yes, being independent means doing a lot of things alone and a Ā lot of alone time or I would say āme-timeā. You better start getting used of being alone but not in a sad way, cos being alone doesnāt always mean youāre sad, so thatās it. You just need to learn to be all by yourself.
7. Accept the reality of life. Life isnāt always gonna be fair so you better accept it now or regret it later. But also always remember that there is a brighter side on things which we usually only realize later. #ThereIsAReasonForEverything
8. Maintain solid friendships. Being independent doesnāt mean you need to live alone; you also need people around you like friends to keep you sane. But it is important to know who your real friends are, the ones that you can trust and the ones whoāll stay with you through thick and thin. I think youāll know one when you see one.
9. Detoxify. Learn to let go of people or things that becomes toxic in your life. It reduces stress and unnecessary headaches from things that doesnāt really for a headache. It will surely make life easy, breezy and beautiful.
10. Always keep a positive vibe. Maintaining a positive vibe doesnāt only help you create ease and happiness on yourself but also people around you can catch it, and in totality creates a positive environment for everybody. Actually this has nothing do about being independent but it just helps me carry myself everyday.
11. Know your passion. This is one of thing that you really need to know about yourself cos this will really help you become sane and will give meaning to your life. You donāt need to become excellent or an expert on that field of your passion, as long as youāre happy itās good to go. For me its blogging, instagramming and photography that keeps me up most of the time.
12. Build connections. The world is smaller now because of technology, with just one click you can be connected to thousands of people. This is where building connections come in, by doing so you get to know new people and learn new perspectives which give you a fresher view in life.
13. Stop caring about what other people has to say. For me this doesnāt really mean you stop listening to other people but instead you learn how to filter especially now on our generation where everybody has a say on everything. You just need to filter those statements, sort them out into categories- positives, constructive criticisms and the ones you should ignore, and that would be it.
14. Do things for yourself. Itās okay if you do things because you want to impress your family, friends and other people, but itās even better if you sincerely do things for yourself cos you know it makes you happy and satisfied. Itās all about self-growth.
15. Learn to budget. And what I mean by this is not only about money but also time. Financial management and time management are two important skills we all need to have in our life. It doesnāt matter what financial background you have, but managing your expense really helps a lot especially when youāre living independently. Also with time management you learn to prioritize things which eases life reduces hassle plus you get to do the things you love if you know how manage your time.
16. Donāt forget to spoil yourself from time to time. I mean you worked for it so you deserve it. Itās as simple as that.
17. Learn to cook. Cooking is really a practical skill to have especially when youāre living independently not only it helps you save money but also you get to do healthy choices for yourself. I mean you should at least try, nobody started out as a masterchef and Iām sure that most people also started from frying or any simple cooking processes.
18. Donāt be too hard on yourself. With all the pressures around us itās bad enough if you add up to it. Itās okay to do things on your pace cos life is not a race (except if youāre really on a race). Take note, this is one of the best lessons I learned in my life.
19. Donāt stop learning. Itās true that learning never stops after you graduate, it continues on and it never ends. #KnowledgeIsPower
20. Donāt forget to enjoy life. I think this is already self-explanatory. Just live life to the fullest.
21. Respect. If you want to be respected you should also learn to respect others. Itās just as plain as that.
22. BE YOU. This is the most important lesson I want to impart to everybody out there, be you. No matter gay, straight, bi, lesbian, transgender or whatever it is, celebrate you. I know itās not easy for some especially for those who are closeted but hang in there, just come out when youāre ready cos when you are weāre gonna be ready too. I tell you Iāve been there. *wink*
Anyway, I would like to give a shoutout to everyone who remembered and greeted me on my birthday last February 24. Thank you to everyone who appreciates and supports what I do, I luffyuuuh guys!
We Donāt Listen To Understand, We Listen To Reply
I'm not one who often talks about their feelings and thoughts, really, I always keep it to myself and just contain it in my head. I think about it and then I forget about it. And that's what I've been doing ever since.
It's not because I don't give it a thought, it's just I don't like explaining myself. I rather choose to keep it to myself instead because I know it would be hard for them to understand or plainly no one would bother to understand. Sadly, others just assume they had me all figured out like they get me, so why bother.
It's not because I don't care or give a fuck, well I do, itās just I know I can handle it all by myself. I don't want to take other people's time just to listen to me blabber and start drowning them with my thoughts, because that's exhausting. Well I've been facing them by myself anyway and they just wouldn't get it, so why drag them along.
It's not because I don't have friends to talk about it, itās just they too are occupied with their own personal things. I rather not add to whatever load they have, because reality check no one would give too much importance about your thoughts except yourself. Also, because sometimes when it's your time to open up chances are you just end up disappointed, so why not save yourself the disappointment.
And it's not because I don't want to, it's just I'm that person who always keep a smile on his like it's a wonderful life. I'm that person who chooses to happiness rather than wallow in negativity, and it has been like that ever since. It came to a point that whatever I say seems a joke to everybody like it no longer make sense, so why start giving a fuss.
But then again sometimes at night it comes to haunt me before I sleep, until I can no longer sleep. It would keep me up to a point that I force myself to sleep to stop overthinking. It's not easy, especially when all your life you've been facing all these anxieties all alone and more often you just actually run from them and never truly facing them.
Something fishy you say? Now thereās a new and fun way to beat the heat with the first ever Taiyaki Ice Cream here in Manila!
Itās finally here guys, thanks to Lucky JPMM Taiyaki Ice Cream we can now grab ourselves a Taiyaki Ice Cream here in the metro. Never heard of it before? Well hereās a brief background about taiyaki ice cream.
Taiyaki is a Japanese fish-shaped waffle bun usually filled with red bean paste, custard, chocolate, cheese and sweet potato. It is made using a regularĀ pancakeĀ orĀ waffleĀ batter which is poured into a fish-shaped mould for each side. The Taiyaki is a resemblance of the Japanese fish ānishikigoiā also commonly known as the ākoi fishā. In their belief, the koi fish brings good fortune, prosperity and success. Now, Taiyaki ice cream is an innovation of the traditional Taiyaki, it is topped with soft served ice cream and drizzled with different ice cream toppings.
Hereās three simple steps on how Taiyaki ice cream is prepared; pour, bake and top.
The batter is poured in the fish-shaped mold, hence the name Taiyaki, and then waits for a few minutes for the fish cones to become golden brown. After baking, the fish cone is then topped with soft served ice cream, either vanilla or cheese flavor, the drizzled with the topping of your choice available and finished with a choco wafer on the side. The toppings available are rice crispies, small chocolate, crushed oreo, sprinkles and chocolate sprinkles. And then taddah! You now have your Taiyaki ice cream.
For more #Taiyakilicious ice cream you can visit them at the SM Mall of Asia and the other at SM North Edsa, just look for Lucky JPMM Taiyaki Ice Cream and grab your cone. Also, please follow them on their instagram account @theluckytaiyaki for more updates and surprises. Just one last thing, if you also want the classic cone ice cream donāt fret they also have it plus they have a black cookie cone which tastes like oreo. Itās a must-try, I tell you.Ā
So guys what are you waiting for, run to the nearest branch and grab your own #Taiyakilicious ice cream! Itās definitely amazing! ^^
Last September 22, 2016 my cousin arrived here in Manila together with her friends for their Sagada trip. Before heading to Sagada, they intentionally arrived way too early for their trip so that they can hang out in Manila for a bit and planned on going to Manila Ocean Park and invited me to come along. Because I love and miss her so much and I was thinking that she was going to treat me, who was I deny the invitation (yan tayo basta libre eh hahaha).
Btw, meet my cousin Joy Lyn.
Now weāre off toĀ Manila Ocean Park!Ā Actually when I was a kid Iāve always wanted to go there and see what itās like inside the ocean park, and now that Iām a bit older I still felt like kid inside the park filled with curiosity and amazement. I mean who wouldnāt be if your childhood life was spent loving animals from dogs, cats to fishes and to whatever species, so it felt like a field trip and I just love animals. We strolled the whole place and it kinda took the whole day too including all the stops and whatnot in between. I was a little bit sad though cos I wasnāt able to see and got the chance to feed penguins but one of the highlight which really got me on my sit smiling big time was the sea lion show. Like seriously I felt like a twelve year-old that time, too bad I was a bit far and couldnāt take a good picture, yeah, still the memories count.
Anyway, here are some snaps I took in the Oceanarium. I love how everything felt like we were under the blues. I dunno how many species they have but it was many; they have rays, tunas and God knows what other fishes were there. But there were two familiar fishes in there which I think most of us know, ehe ehe, Ā and it was Nemo and Dory.Ā
They also had other animal exhibits like the Creepy Crawlies and Birds of Prey Kingdom. It was filled with different creatures like frogs, lizards, spiders, scorpions and eagles.Ā Again I saw someone familiar in there, I saw ābessyā inside the tank! (Iām referring to the snake guys ehe ehe tumawa kayo ples)
But one best thing which I really like was the Jellies Exhibit. I love the colors and how they float together with the jellies and I love the vibe of the place. They actually looked like lava lamps.Ā And I really recommend you to come and see that area.Ā
To summarize the exhibits we went to here are the following: Oceanarium, Sea Lion Show, Marine Life Habitat, Musical Fountain Show, Jellies Exhibit, All Star Bird Show, Creepy Crawlies and Birds of Prey Kingdom. As far as I can remember we paid like P850.00 for everything I listed. You can always check their website www.manilaoceanpark.com for promos, other details and queries.
With all those great things in Manila Ocean Park a little photo shoot was also at hand during the stroll.
The whole day was a bliss and it actually made me miss being a kid. Hereās to more memories!

We spent our long weekend at White Beach, Puerto Galera, Mindoro. My cousin has been planning this short getaway with her family for so long that when I arrived I was able to tag along. I was really excited to spend time with my pamangkins and just chill by the beach, and who doesnāt want to spend time at the beach, right?
We booked a family room in a small resort called Mendelluke Suites which was located by the beach.
The resort was convenient because it is very near to the beach front area and there a lot of restaurants, stores and other establishments just beside it, plus they have WiFi. And if I would rate them out of 10 I would give them a 6.5 as an overall rating for the place and their service.
The beach has a lot of activities to offer you like island hopping, banana boat rides, speed boats, snorkeling and many more water activities but these comes with a price. So if youāre following budget you could always just enjoy the beach and the sun with your family and friends which is free (obviously, duh Paul). You can go swimming any time you want, you can just walk by the beach and enjoy the view (if you know what I mean *wink* hahaha), you can sun bathe and if you have ball you can play beach volleyball.
DAY 1
On our first day we kinda explored the area and went canvassing on the prices they have on stores and restaurants. Also we went to the beach but we did not really stayed for so long cos they were too tired from our commute and decided to get some sleep. On the other hand, me full of energy went on exploring the beach all by myself. If you are following me on instagram @mr.adjacent (sabay promote ehe ehe) I posted it my IG stories on how alone I was.
A video posted by Paul Anthony Tuson (@mr.adjacent) on Nov 1, 2016 at 4:59am PDT
Ā
While I was walking by the beach a few vendors approached Ā me and thought I was a Chinese, itās not new to me but still I kinda get flattered cos well it means Iām āchinitoā but a half cooked chinito (lol). Also while I was taking pictures in a rocky area at the far side of the beach a complete stranger asked if he can have a picture taken with me (feeling artista din no?), it was flattering, awkward and creepy but more on the awkward and creepy side. I still canāt believe those things happened to me.
As the night fell people started to crowd the beach area, loud music started playing and everybody is buzzing around. We ate dinner in a restaurant and after we went walking by the beach and played in the sands with my nephew. It actually reminded me of Boracay cos of the loud music and fire dancers stationed in the beach front, and everybody was just enjoying their time.
DAY 2
This was when we spent the whole day staying at the beach. The sun rays wasnāt harmful that time so it did not became a problem, although bit by bit I got really sun kissed to a point where I got sunburns in my back and little in my face. Now Iām tanner than what I was and in our term we call it ānognogā which is short for sunog. But I donāt have any regrets whatsoever.
DAY 3
The last day of our stay was spent mostly in our room and buying things at the bazaar, sadly I didnāt have money to buy souvenirs but I have pictures and sunburns so I guess Iām good. We had our brunch and after that we headed home. And we definitely caught some Zās during our commute home.
All in all, the entire trip was super fun; I was able to go to new place and bond with my cousin and pamangkins. What more can I ask for? Iām really lucky to have a welcoming and understanding cousin, and in fact I only met her again this year after 10 years or so of not seeing each other.
Partying and staying up all night are two things I surely miss doing after I graduated college. I even remember those glory nights where we rave all night without single care in the world and regret (not always though) everything in the morning but does exactly the same thing the next time. Itās cycle that never ends but you get to learn a lot and live life.
Last week I got the chance to party with the #ZCrew at the Revel At The Palace, and this is thanks to Nilo Sabillo (@ohmynilo) for tagging me along. I was actually quite nervous going because I donāt know what to expect and to be honest it has been like forever since the last time I partied. Well as the saying goes expect the unexpected.
The party was definitely awesome although it started a little bit awkward cos Iām kinda new in the scene and all, but it ended up super lit! Thanks again to Nilo who knew a lot of people and the one who never left me and stayed with throughout the party. Btw, you should check and follow his instagram accountĀ @ohmyniloĀ and here is a GIF of us during the party.
Other than that I met some of the #ZCrew members and unfortunately I donāt have a picture with all of them. I only had pictures withĀ Miko Carreon (@mikocarreon), Luis Hontiveros, Patrik Franksson, Patrice Averilla (@avelovin)Ā andĀ Jessey De Leon.Ā I also metĀ Ron Paulo Luna (@ronpauloluna)Ā who was very kind (and drunk) that I was able to converse with him even for a while, andĀ Deegee Razon (@dgrazon)andĀ Kerwin King (@kerwinking).Ā #fanboying
The rest of the night was filled with dancing and fun. ^^
Anyway, thank you so much to Nilo for the opportunity and Zalora PH (@zaloraph) for having the event. Keep being awesome!
Taking pictures or photographs has brought real joy since the day I fell in love with photography. It gives so much pleasure everytime I think I took a good shot or snap even though I know Iām not really good at it but who cares as long as Iām happy. All I ever wanted was just to share bits and pieces of my life from anything under the sun.
My love for photography started way back when I was in high school in the year 2008, and back then it was really my dream to become a good photographer. But what really pushed me to pursue my love for photography was my best friend Enya, she actually became one of my inspirations and the reason why I started blogging in tumblr. I think sheās one of the coolest and artsy person Iāve ever known in my life and I will forever love her (hi Ens! Muuah). So from there I started discovering the world of photography and blogging and started sharing my own thing through my blog, I even had a jeje URL back then it was blu3moon.tumblr.com but Iām proud of it.
Sadly, with all the enthusiasm that I have I didnāt have a camera and it was fine cos we really couldnāt afford to have one and we needed to prioritize important things. Although it was really difficult for me back then but I just needed to suck it and work on whatever I got. I just borrow from friends and then actually my family bought me my first camera and it was a digicam (the one Iām holding in the picture). It was very sentimental for me and it really brought me to cloud nine. Unfortunately I only had it for a few months cos I lost it and I donāt know how it happened, I got scolded and all I did was just cry my eyes out. Anyway, it took me a really long while to have my own camera again and so Iām back to borrowing, but it didnāt stop me. All I knew is that Iām happy taking pictures and it didnāt really matter whether I took a great shot or not. And that was all for high school.
My blog actually started as a photo blog where I only post pictures with a title and little caption until it developed into a personal blog where it turned into a photo diary and there I post pictures and texts about my life and adventures. You can backread my blog to see it for yourself. Btw, I hope someone is really reading my posts here ehe ehe and if you are can you please comment so I would know, and I really appreciate the time.
College was different cos now I had an iPhone where it takes good quality pictures but during that time my family bought a new camera but I was not really allowed to use it all time, so I often use my phone instead. I think this was the time when instagram was really a hit and I kinda got addicted to it. This was also the time I found new inspirations from different bloggers and grammers, like mikewillfly, davidguison, kimijuan, thomascaja, jelitodeleon and many more. Instagram really had me going crazy cos of the different people you get to know having the same passion as you plus you get to have new friends added to your circle. It really brought me joy and challenged me to better in doing my thing.
From #FeedGoals, blogger pose, flatlays, hashtags, landscapes and what have you, these kind of words became a norm for me being an active user of instagram. Itās really fun and all until gets too crazy, I mean issues and conflicts are inevitable but sometimes it gets out of hand. Some people just get too hung up with the number of likes and followers they have but hey itās none of my business. Oh well, on the brighter side instagram has helped me share my thing to people and it may not be as great as others but I hope some people really do like and appreciate. Also, because of instagram Iāve met new people who became my friends and other people whom Iāll soon to meet Ā (hi there guys, really hope to meet yāall soon). More than that it just makes me happy doing what I love and that is taking pictures.
For more or less eight years that Iāve been immersing myself with my craft, there a few things I learned:
It doesnāt matter how many likes or hearts or whatever count you have a cos that would never fully define you.
Never give up on something that you love and that makes you happy, keep working on it cos one day it will pay off.
Do something not because you want to impress people but do something because it makes you happy, cos lifeās too short to get hung up on things.
I guess taking pictures or photographs, or photography will always be a part of me. And I would never get tired of sharing it as long as I can.
Itās been a month since I moved here in Manila and quite a lot has happened, and more is yet to come.
Besides the culture shock, heavy traffic, language adjustments, rejections Ā and other expected obstacles, what keeps me going in my life here are the people I currently have, have met and yet to meet, plus the adventures of course!
A few of the awesome-st and coolest people that I met here in Manila are Marco and Leinald plus his squad Marnel, Meggy and Pearl. I donāt know but I just clicked with them, and I never had a dull moment with them. And recently we went to Fort Bonifacio for a photoshoot. Along the way going to the location I took a few shots of the places we passed by (sorry taga probinsya po).
The location of the shoot was actually at the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial. We kinda spent the whole afternoon shooting there and good thing the rain didnāt pour. The day went well and it was really exhausting but fun especially when your with cool people. And guys, we kinda got scolded by the guard cos we stayed there beyond the time that was allowed for people to stay. #BadKidsĀ
After the shoot we went to the famous Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill to just chill and hang and grab some snacks. And guys the place was amazeballs! Although some stores are still not open but you just canāt deny the feeling that youāre in Venice. You guys better check it out.
Anyway, photos of the shoot will be posted at The Pub which will be in its October issue featuring Marco. āThe Pubā is actually a portfolio and collection of photos taken and post processed by Leinald Dela Cruz. You guys should check it out for more amazing shots and concepts. (just click on the inserted link to check it out)
And btw please follow us on our instagram account @mr.adjadcent, @captainleinald and @marcoquiambao ehe ehe ehe and here is a wacky GIF of the three of us.
After a very long while of waiting I finally met Marco and Leinald personally last July 30 at the Ayala Museum. Although it wasnāt painted in my face I was really really glad to meet them. I just love these two crazies and I would love to see them more often. Actually the three of us only started on twitter and from there we became friends and the rest was history. #TeamPowerPuff
Besides meeting them I was aslo introduced to Leinaldās friends Marnel and Meg, and thus our groupĀ āDeath Squadā and thereās a funny story behind that name. (hahaha labyu Marnel!)
I spent the rest of the afternoon with them strolling around the museum taking pictures and looking around, but the best part was when we I met BJ Pascual. I was on cloud nine that time, my hands were even shaking when I was taking a selfie with him. I just could not believe myself that I met one of my heroes and idol. My day was definitely complete!
After strolling around Ayala we went to Circuit Makati for a photoshoot. Besides the photoshoot itself, I really like the company that I had that day. I think after a while we just kinda click and I wouldnāt mind hanging with them again.

Since the day I officially graduated my life has been moving way too fast than I expected. Before anything else I already planned and said to myself to take a break for a month or so before I start looking for a job, but I ended up swallowing every word I said. I guess my excitement to look for a job got the best of me plus I got pressured cos some of my friends already started and have jobs. You could say Iām competitive but I just did not think it through, and Iām kinda regretting it a lil bit but at the same Iām kinda of not.
For the past few weeks I have been processing papers, IDs and the like in preparation for applying jobs. Together with my best friends we strolled the city, waited in line for hours, inquired, sent resumes, answered calls and such, and its really overwhelming. In short adulting, which is the term we basically use when we refer it to doing adult stuffs.
Its really scary and exciting at the same time cos I really donāt know what to expect in entering adulthood. I mean I know the basic stuffs, I think, but you really donāt know what exactly is going to happen. A few of my friends already warned me about rejections and frustrations along the way, but I chose to look at the brighter side and just keep trying if ever so Iāll encounter such (fingers-crossed I will not). Given all those instances I somehow already prepared myself and Iām really up for the challenge. Fighting!
Oh did I also mention that Iāll be moving to Manila really soon. Yep, I know its gonna be real challenge cos of the new environment and a lot new things but all in all it thrills me of what is in store for me. Now I really need to improve my tagalog cos honestly I suck at it, and expect me to be conyo for quite a while until I get the hang of speaking tagalog. Plus expect me to be a little shy and reserved, I may need to adapt for a little while in order to become not so shy (HAHAHAHA). Another thing is, Iām really anxious of is the new people that Iāll be meeting (baka ma meet ko na si the one lol) and the people and friends that I wanted to meet for a quite some time now. Also if we meet along the way feel free to say hi, promise Iām not suplado pero mahiyain lang.Hope to meet you somewhere down road guys or any place at all!
Last June 24, 2016 marked one of the greatest moments in our lives because sumablay na kami!
My four years in college has officially ended, and those sleepless nights, hell weeks, zombie days and sabaw moments has definitely paid off. It was not easy I tell you, and donāt get me wrong going to school was āfunā but there are just moments that stress was too much for me. But hell yeah, I was able to balance my academics, extra-curricular activities, social life and buhay pag-ibig (joke! Naka focus po ako sa studies ko hahaha) and finish on time.
Let me tell you about my journey in college. As a student I was not the top of my class, I was not popular nor was I a heartthrob or some sort, no. I was that lazy student who doesnāt really care about high grades but the one who just wants to enjoy his college life. Iām a very lazy person especially when it comes to academics, I was even known to be always late or absent in class and yes I always cut class but get away with it (hahaha wag niyo ako tularan). And I think I mastered the art of being absent or late and not get in trouble. I just love to hang out in school and be with friends. But hey, I also see to it that I donāt fail any subject. Iām not smart but Iām street smart. *ching*
On the other hand, I was very active when it comes to non-academic matters. I think I tried a lot of things in my four years in college, iykwim (*wink*). I was a dancer, actor, artist, model and a leader but never a singer; I also played many sports like volleyball, football, softball, badminton and etc. but except basketball. But what I really worked hard for was being leader, and in my four years I dedicated most of my time to the school org UPV Junior Executive Society. I was able to hone a lot of my skills because of that org and in my last year in college I became the president of that organization, and I can say I definitely left a mark in my term of service.
A lot of things can happen in a day what more in four years. They said āCollege is one of the best time of your life.ā and I can absolutely attest to that. Itās where youāll discover a lot of things in life and especially yourself. It is a microcosm of life, a glimpse of reality. But college will only be fun depending on how run it, and it boils down to your decisions, the people around you and you.
Here are some of my tips to enjoy college:
Always take a chill pill.
Never be afraid to take a leap of faith.

I really got inspired by Mike Miguel (does MIKEWILLFLY ring a bell?) that I thought to myslef to make my own video diary. Actually Mike is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to blogging, aesthetics and fashion. I just love the guy and I hope of meeting him someday. Hehe
Anyway, hereās the short video I made from the trip we had at Tatlong Pulo, Guimaras.Ā And please do watch it on HD cos the quality doesnāt do it justice. (^^)V
Crazy friends plus one spontaneous trip is equal to a good recipe of an awesome summer getaway. Well we deserve it after a year of work our asses off in school.Ā
This year, summer came a bit late for us cos of the calendar shift in our university. Luckily the rainy season also came in late so we were able to have this trip in Guimaras. Actually we have been planning to have a trip together for so long but our plans never seem to become a reality. This may seem a little crazy but what works for us is when our trips arenāt really that planned cos most of the time these are the trips that gets to be done.
Last June 7, my best friends and I went on our most awaited trip together at Tatlong Pulo, Guimaras. We arrived at around 8:00 am at the Guimaras wharf and headed straight to the tourism office to ask for assistance and directions on how to get to our destination. And yes, we only had quite a bit of information of where we are actually going, but what the hell its always exciting not know what to expect cos itās an adventure (not always though). So they gave us the information we needed and asked a tricycle driver to bring us to Tatlong Pulo. It was a 30-45 minute drive plus a more or less 25 minute strenuous hike, and hiking there is not for people who has weak knees so I suggest you pack light. And alas, we arrived at the beachfront at around 10:00 am.
The five of us were really in awe after seeing the beach, we just canāt believe how beautiful the place can be. It was really refreshing. Anyway, we settled in a small hut or ākuboā where youāll find tables and benches inside and a sleeping area upstairs which can accommodate up to 5-6 people. The hut was literally in front of the beach so you can really hear the waves and feel the ocean breeze.Ā After settling down we had our food cooked and went island hopping for 2-3 hours, just in time to arrive back in the beach for lunch.Ā
Here are some tips if youāre planning to stay there:
Contact them beforehand for a reservation because the huts are limited (lucky for us there were still available huts when we came there). Btw, if you want to have their contact just feel free to message me.
Staying there means no electricity and a very low signal so better prepare.Ā
Bring food enough to suffice the length of your stay. Also, you can have your food cooked there so no worries.
Bring lots of drinking water.
We spent the rest of the afternoon chilling, playing cards, chatting, gossiping, eating and swimming. Of course the whole trip wouldnāt be complete without me taking instagrammable photos (good thing my best friends are very supportive). Late in the afternoon we were actually waiting for the low tide for us to cross the island in front of Tatlong Pulo where the rock formations are magnificent. At around 5:00 pm we were indeed able to cross and surprisingly the water was very clear that you could see kingdoms of corals underwater. I actually got scratched going back to the beach but it was very small, nothing to worry about.
Night time came and then all the magic started to happen.
After eating dinner, my best friend and I went out to buy coffee and Milo when we noticed the night sky filled with stars. It felt nothing like the stars we use to see in the city, and we were so astounded by the view that we decided to stay out late by the ocean. We took our food and cameras and there we sat watching the stars. In fact, the background of our photos is the actual picture I took of the stars that night, and it was the first time I tried long exposure and Iām not sure if did it right but hey I captured something like that. After a while of talking under the starry night we were able to see a shooting star, but it gets better (and it was the best for me actually). Not long after that we saw fireflies! I was lost for words when I saw them cos it was actually my first time to witness one, and I was kinda teary-eyed that moment. We were really the luckiest bitches that night.
Hey btw, here are my best friends Bea, Lou Wyn, Katrina and Nejema (listed accordingly from the left). Weāve known each other for eight years now and I guess Iāll be having them for a very long time (well Iām really hoping to have them for a very very long time actually). And btw, Iāll also be posting a short video diary of our trip in Tatlong Pulo so keep posted.Ā
This summer getaway is definitely one to remember and I wouldnāt trade anything for these moments. āTil the next trip yāall! *wink*
It was really hard for me to update my blog cos of the non-stop demand of school, and I was not just a student but I was also a student leader. I was pretty dumped for three months, so it made quite impossible for to become active here with all the impending school works and org responsibilities that I have, plus Iām graduating so that adds to up to the pressure of not failing. You know, priorities! But hey, after a very long time of being in an hiatus state finally i can say, Iām back!Ā *ching*
I really miss blogging and doing all these artsy editing and collages. I miss posting here in tumblr and I guess I miss out on a lot of things here. So anybody please fill me up. Whatās new?
Anyway, being so caught in school I was not able to a lot of things that I love, like doing photoshoots, lettering and etc, but towards the end of the semester I had a chance to do a quick shoot with my best friend. One sunny Saturday, I was with my best friend and we were celebrating because she was elected as the new president of the organization at school. We were out the whole afternoon eating and catching up cos we were so busy that we hardly see each other at school. The best art of the day was having a serious conversation with regarding our future, well cos Iām graduating and she still has a year before she graduates. It was really refreshing to hear those words from her and to my surprise from me as well. It was like were turning into adults. Hahaha
Moving on to my outfit. I was wearing my button down or uncle top which I actually took from my dadās closet. Then I paired it with my DIY white shorts that I shamelessly cut and I donāt know why, and my Addidas Superstar for my shoes. For my accessories I was wearing two bracelets and a thin black choker necklace just to add a little bit something on my look.Ā

Iāve been in hiatus state for about three months now and its because of the non-stop demand of school. Org responsibilities, school papers, exams and other stuffs made it impossible for me to update my blog every week, although in my instagram account I was able to post few. But now that I have all the time in the world cos schoolās over for me, and Iām already claiming that Iāll pass all my subjects so no worries. Now I can post new contents in my blog and update it. The best part is Iāll be graduating this June, my four years in college in soon to be over!
Anyway, please add me on snapchat mr.adjacent for real time updates and for vanity pics of me. Ā
