You don’t know what you don’t know, yanno? So what you do know is enough to do what you need to do, cuz if you needed more you’d have it. A man approached a tree once and asked the tree if it knew God. The tree without hesitation said “Yes, I know God. Don’t you?” The man, puzzled for a moment, thought over all of the experiences in his life. He thought over all of the the days and nights that have passed him by, all of the tears and smiles he had witnessed and felt, many times often wondering if God cared at all. . He looked at the tree and said “Sometimes I really feel like God is missing in certain places in the world, look at all the struggle and pain everywhere, in mostly everyone?” The man started going off, naming terrible things going on all over the world. Murders and rapes genocides and torture and break ups and disease and poverty and war and other monstrosities.” The tree listened attentively, waiting for the man to finish. . Finally, the man almost out of breath, realized that he was able to quite generously describe all of his miseries and ailments and weaknesses. However the amount of times he said thank you to a God or anyone for that matter had been few and far between. He looked around, the Forest he was standing in was unlike the world he just described. It was still, fresh, and alive. . The tree, having been through many winter storms as well as sweltering summer heats, knew quite well the cycles of life. The timing of nature, and that humans are the only creatures that manipulate the concept of timing. Having observed many people, his DNA holding memories of observations of many billions of people before him, the tree spoke: “Everywhere you people go you focus on what is not. You focus on the reality, what is being shown to you. And because you wait to form an opinion after you see what happens, because your mind operates in cause and effect, you will always be lost. Not in logic, but in spirit, in connection with one. I had a breakthrough tonight💥 . I’ve been running from my dreams-both literally and figuratively. Literally in that I have not had what I would call a good night of sleep in at least a decade. In high school I went to sleep with pills, in college with cannabis when I could, and the nights I didn’t have an intoxicating substance I either was up most of the night, and/or had some extremely vivid dream that woke me up feeling exhausted and confused, almost as if I never slept. . I realized tonight that I have been figuratively running from my dreams in that, my dreams seem so large that I have been listening to everyone who told me it wasn’t possible rather than my heart, who kept saying “dream bigger.” If you ask anyone who knows what my dreams are, they’d say my dreams are already some of the biggest they’ve heard of, how could it be possible to dream bigger? . The answer took me a long time to realize, but is quite simple in theory: be like water. What does that mean? . The 43rd verse of the Tao Te Ching reads: “the softest thing in the world will overcome the hardest. Non-being can enter where there is no space. Therefore I know the benefit of unattached action. The wordless teaching and unattached action are rarely seen.” . Any dream you have can be yours if you have the right formula. Courageous thought, calm emotion, balanced action, and a patient attitude will get you anything you want. . The next video will talk more about that formula and how timing plays into it. Me and my buddy @icblacofficial spent the night up in the mountains out in Colorado and had a really awesome experience. Needless to say I recommend you wake up in the mountains at least once in your life. Breathing fresh air first thing in the morning was one of the most beautiful moments of my life.
