Audrey Totter eats hamburgers, wears slacks, drives cars, and has a lover on the side, all while talking back to her husband who only wants her to settle down in the suburbs under his single-earner salary, and explicitly because she didn't have a man to take care of her during the war! Very interesting case study in mid-century Hollywood gender politics.
