i didn't notice until just now that in the dirty mop outtake matt asks "how much is it?" and jay says "it's a Vileda." that princess didn't even answer the question. i've watched this like 10 times now.

i love when jay blames matt for plans going wrong when jay liked commented and subscribed to every part of the process. like, ahh i'm so mad at you for making me love you so much that i will go along with anything you do. i'm so mad at you for being so amazing that i choose to stay with you over pursuing a normal life. i followed another one of your stupid plans to the end and look where it got me...

to me romance feels so wrong for matt and jay. not that it is. i can't put a finger on it but most forms of romance are just... off. in a way that is so unique to them. but it just occurred to me that it's because these characters are written to behave like children living in the 90s. they have not matured a day since elementary school. so what if they approach romance in that way? matt tells jay "i think i like like you." and he picks flowers from the ditch and takes him to the park for a date and jay feels so appreciated. and when they kiss, matt asks to kiss him, and it's unbearably awkward but they are oblivious to how horrible of a kiss it was. and then every time they want to kiss each other they're both so nervous and not normal about it. and in general they're so nervous and giddy they can barely talk to each other. like kids exploring romance for the first time and not understanding what it really means. is that something

can we find a way to connect ntbts and project hail mary like i feel like they overlap and i don't know why. is it because we're all sick for best friends who are More than best friends and stories that make you hurt in the best way? what would happen if jay and matt met grace? should we put jay and matt on the hail mary so grace goes insane extra fast? someone write a fanfiction.
