Speaking specifically on the indigenous communities, we’re still persisting and fighting for our right to exist here on turtle island, our home.

Every day I see irl the growing erasure of these groups to make a white ethnostate paradise for racists. Silence is still support, and ignorance will not stop the progress being made by the white supremacists in office.

Art has some minor spoilers but i doubt it’s a big deal

What can i say about Sybyll? not much actually, for a lot of her character I have a ‘read and find out’ mentality. She’s the only main POV character to not get a chapter in act 1, so I thought I would list some fun facts.

-The number one observation of her is that she looks uncanny or weird. she looks “pale” or more aptly sickly to them. more on that in a later post

-She actively refuses to talk about herself outside of small snippets

-Her demeanor doesn’t usually break unless she’s antagonizing Arthur or very embarrassed

I have a lot I could say about her, I don’t think the initial post really did her character much justice.

She never really knew her parents, as they died when she was around 5. This left a vacuum for the throne, as she was not of-age yet. Her aunt and adoptive mother took up the role of queen temporarily despite not being genetically related to her. They have a good relationship though, she changed the color of her card so they would match.

At times she can be seen as dumb or air-headed compared to the others, but it just stems from lack of life experience. She’s incredibly booksmart and fast on her feet, but has never been allowed to leave the capital city before.

Pictured in order (L -> R) is Nova, Sybyll, Alexander and Arthur. I have a lot more for each one of them, getting their own introductory posts soon. For now though a quick personality overview!!

Nova:

Her card is the Ace of Spades, she’s an optimist even in the worst times, and a huge social butterfly. As the soon-to-be ruler of a big nation she’s got a lot of weight on her shoulders.

Sybyll:

Sybyll’s card is [????], shes more reserved and analytical compared to the others. She’s not willing to talk about her past, so she focuses only on the present and future. For some reason, other than just being her lady in waiting, she’s extremely dedicated to keeping Nova safe.

Alexander:

Alexander is the 10 of Hearts, he disobeyed his father’s wishes for him to become part of the Navy and instead has worked himself into an important job as a junior investigator.
