βUgh, not againβ, she thought to herself, reading a chat from her fellow classmate, commenting about her display picture when she had a chance to sing in 3butes 2011. She knew what this guy wanted and she had enough heartbreaks that year.
But the conversation flowed just right yet the pick-up lines were smooth; inevitably, she fell to his words.
βKamu cocok tau sama Daviβ, said her bestfriend out of nowhere.
She didnβt tell anyone that they have been chatting via Blackberry Messenger quite intense for the past few weeks, so how could her bestfriend know?
βCocok aja tau, dia keren gitu loh suka film, suka...β, but she didnβt listen to the rest of her bestfriendβs sentence, as she noticed Davi had been eyeing on them. But when she looked at his direction, he always looked away.
βMengenali dirimu lebih dekat.β
She had a chat with him while he helped her cleaning Kartu UN which happened to fell all over the wet ground of Lapangan Bali by her βshe knew this part was miserable. But, his beautiful laughs, his shaky hands, his awkward gesture, and their classmateβs yelling, βAh, Davi mah ngecengnya Nadia kanβ, were everything her 17-years-old-self could ask for a fine day.
As she wrote on her Tumblr on the next day, βI almost forgot how falling in love felt like until yesterdayβ.
It was their first date. The movie was bleigh but their conversations were astonishing; felt like she had known him for years.
βYa ampun, Persib main dong hari ini!β
βKok bisa sampe lupa?β, she wondered, as to her knowledge, he really liked football, so him missing the chance to watch his favorite team was very unlikely.
While putting his phone on his pocket, he said, βKeasikan sama kamuβ.

βHere we go...β, she thought to herself. She had enough bad relationships and she didnβt want this to end the same.
βTerus kalo udah pacaran mau ngapain?β
βYa aku bakal jagain kamu. Buat aku, prestasi itu adalah bisa pertahanin satu cewe selama-lamanya, daripada gonta ganti cewe ga jelas.β
He seemed anxious, but he continued, βAnaloginya kayak satu tim bola menang kejuaran yang sama selama bertahun-tahun, itu artinya tim itu hebat. Kalo pialanya bergilir dan gak bisa dipertahankan, berarti tim tersebut kan ga hebat.β
βOh, jadi aku kayak piala bergilir gitu?β
βEh.. eh ya engga dong!β, he tried to stop her from walking. βKamu tuh harus dipertahanin dengan segala hal yang aku bisaβ, he continued, getting more anxious.
βOke, okeβ, she giggled.
Little did they knew, he proved everything he said that night.
