the wta yt channel has been trying to come up with new ideas for media day and i do appreciate it this time! they released a mini-series called "tour bites" in which they interview a player in a restaurant while presenting them a menu from their home town and having them explaning said dish and their connection with it. it kinda reminded me of when they had alex eala in a bakery in rome talking about her breakthrough in tennis while tasting pastries.

leylah fernandez was the first inteviewee on the "tour bites" series and they took her on a filipino spot in london! it's soooo nice to hear the players' connection with their home country food and specially their family meals! mia baker, who is a golf player, was the one guiding the talk and she was so great with the questions and with getting leylah to really explain the dishes and her relation with them.
