We understand that Flowers are alive yet aren't the same KIND of alive as Lightners, so that begs the question of if fully mechanical beings would be counted as Lightners simply for having spirits, or if they'd be more like Queen where their data is manifested into a new body with new thought.

Like would everyone become Galvatron-esc, where they aren't EXACTLY the same person anymore but the memories and emotions stay the same?

somebody in the notes mentioned their toys and thats very fascinating to me. while yes their figures are representations of them as they exist to us, the people we know these toys as are more like an egregore, these almost mythological figures made up through stories taught to people. this isnt a new concept, weve done this for centuries. but that is separate from the actual figure that exists within this light world. darkeners are less a representation of that object in general but more the representation of that exact object. 2 of the same model of computer can expierence incredibly different lifetimes and end up as different, albeit similar looking, darkeners. transformer toys or no different.

some end up where theyre supposed to be, in the hands of young children, subjected to the horrors that entails. some spend their lives up on collector's shelves, dust-free and perfectly posed. some stay in boxes at the back of closets, the corner of basements, attics, never seeing light for years. some are loved and cherished dearly, some are not, some are liked more than others. it depends on the lightner and the type of love given to it. a darkner transformer figure would reflect that more than the assigned personality labeled on the box.
