Two Minds,Two Brains.

Basically, Thrasher and Blastus are several years older than they were in the show, and they are separated from each other due to traumatic events, scarring Thrasher as a result. In Toy Story 6, Thrasher would be the main henchman (along with a few other toys) for the movie’s main antagonist IF the villain is a toy or something else entirely (besides a human).

At first, he would seem friendly to Jessie, Woody and the gang (along with the tech trio), until the main antagonist flips the switch and goes full on evil towards them. This change causes Thrasher to be extremely cold towards the protagonists, and going as far as nearly smashing one of them with his hammer, resulting in most of the gang to be prisoner to the villain.

Throughout, Thrasher may seem to be cold and heartless. Inside, he’s lonely, vulnerable and is in need of someone to be with. The villain would be very demanding and manipulative towards Thrasher, pushing his buttons including the other evil toys. This manipulation causes Thrasher to feel like he’s useless even further, until he guards either Smarty or Jessie (specifically Smarty).

Either of them end up asking Thrasher if he ever had someone who loved and cared for him, as well as playing with him everyday, and he says yes. When he is asked about how the owner’s HOUSE was like, Thrasher is reminded of terrible memories from the past. It would go like this:

Smarty or Jessie: “and… how was the house like? Was it cozy, warm or even beautiful?”

Thrasher: “Oh… (chuckles for a moment) it (sigh)— it wasn’t a great place to live in.”

Smarty or Jessie: “Wait, what do you mean it wasn’t great? C’mon there’s gotta be something good about it!”

Thrasher, with a saddening look: “Not all houses are good, y’know?”

This set of lines straight up implies that Thrasher came from an abusive household, and it also implies the fact that he lost Blastus during the process. However, either of the two encourage him, explaining that there are other kids and families who are nice and loving, and that there’s more to life than what he experienced in the past. This leaves Thrasher to question what he’s been doing all along.

But then, when Jessie and the gang are trying to escape the villain, he or she corners them. Just as they’re about to be beaten, Thrasher snaps and stands up to the villain, but said villain tries to get away and they get beaten as a result.

In the end, Thrasher is now a new member of Jessie’s gang after an older Bonnie donates them to another kid or something. However, in the mid or post credits, he ends up reuniting with Blastus, Maimy and Weenus after they were found.
