You Mean My Buddy Dys? Dish!

Anyways. Hi, I’m Mavis (they/them)! I’m an avid IWATEX fan, which I play on a Nintendo switch (so I can’t edit any gamefiles or do any of that computer stuff). I’ve 100% the gallery, so I’m not bothered by seeing spoilers at all. Even so, if I talk about anything that someone is unlikely to experience in their first few playthroughs of the game, I’ll do my best to keep it under a cut off. I believe that is the general consensus for spoilers in the fandom, but if something else would be better, please let me know!

I like making fanart and occasionally fanfic for things I’m interested in (like IWATEX) so, do expect that from my blog occasionally (It will be tagged with #my art). I also am in the process of developing some of my Exo-OCs such as Loquacious (Lo), Apricity (Pris), Acquiescence (Essie), as well as Bellicose (Belle) who I adopted from Sapphire in the exoprompts disc server :3.

YES YES YES THANKYOU FOR BITING!!

Ooo this is a really good question actually!! I think wanting to be a hopeye is something that he’d grow out of as he gets older (shocking, I know). The main reason I think she’d want that in the first place is because as a kid he’s really shy. There’d be a little bit of self projection onto a hop eye, with how they’re nervous little creatures (like him!) but also quite ‘social’ or moreso care about the other hopeyes, what with them stomping their feet to warn other hopeyes about danger.

He’d never lose his love for the little critters, but ultimately transcending the human species into becoming a hopeye isn’t a realistic adult job, and in her teens years she’d want to distance himself from how ‘awkward’ and ‘wierd’* she was as a kid to the point that maybe he’d suppress the whole hopeye thing? So she probably wouldn’t get into surveying in the beginning because of that, (also the lingering anxiety that is still very much there, just masked!), and by the time he’s grown into himself and feeling confident and everything he’s already found his niche as a hairdresser. Its the perfect blend of social skills and practical work to keep her entertained! I think it would also help change ‘self expression’ from something daunting and caging into something fun and freeing.

Maybe when there’s Peace On Vertumna, she’ll get a little hopeye assistant to work with her :3
