I released a Fourth Wing fanfiction a few weeks back. I've never uploaded a fanfic before. I didn't expect it to get much attention, it was just something I tossed together haphazardly. I was more afraid the couple people who clicked on it wouldn't like it.

I logged on and this made me burst into tears.

Those last few chapters in Fourth Wing made Violet's actions in Iron Flame understandable to me*, albeit frustrating. 🥺

I really felt that Violet gave in too easily in Iron Flame. Like she literally was betrayed by everyone important to her in her life except Mira and her squad, none of whom she can talk to about anything without revealing the secret re the Venin. So she has to grieve and process the betrayal alone. She has to mourn her friend who died knowing he chose Xaden over her. Even though she had saved his fucking life. My girl deserved to rage. At everyone.

I'm working on a fanfiction about Sgaeyl and Tairn and I'm losing the will to go on. I've only written 2.5k words in the last two weeks and it's a mess. Literally putting down less than 100 words some nights.

It's a one-shot set immediately after Resson, from Sgaeyl's POV. But I've done the characters all wrong and I've just realised I missed some details and it doesn't even have a name and ughhhhh

Can someone explain to me about Sgaeyl and Tairn's allegiances prior to the Battle of Aretia? Tairn is "accredited for the defeat of the Tyrrish Rebellion despite nearly dying during the Battle of Aretia".

Sgaeyl has had two bonds successively within the Riorson line, placing her firmly on the side of Aretia.

I know dragons don't supplant themselves to human laws and borders, but I'm curious how Tairn and Sgaeyl met. Was Sgaeyl involved at all in the Battle of Aretia? How did her and Tairn form a relationship?

I'm curious and confused, please help lol

I think that we should start discussing the fact that Ridoc hugged Dain in Onyx Storm and Dain acted all confused because of it. Thinking about how significant this was to Dain considered that probably no one had touched him in months

All of the emotional and heartbreaking scenes in Onyx Storm on one side, Sgaeyl being ready to go to war with Xaden’s mom for him on the other.

Even though she was angry with him, refusing to speak to him, Sgaeyl was furious on his behalf when she met his mother, and that genuinely breaks my heart to think about. She truly cares for Xaden, even after his unforgivable betrayal at the end of Iron Flame. That is her rider and no one else gets to make him feel miserable.

Tairn may make jokes about Xaden just being an “emotional inconvenience” to Sgaeyl but he is so much more than that.
