He nods his head a couple times before pursing his lips. “You’re probably right, maybe a nap is more in the cards for me, huh? He chuckles softly, adjusting his coffee to his taste.

She couldn’t help but smirk a tiny bit, of course she was right - she usually was, in her mind. “Yeah, maybe. If you’ve got the time for it.”

“Exactly!” Chandler confirmed, nodding dramatically. Sometimes not wanting sex in relationships ended horribly for him, and other times the relationship still ended horribly but for different reasons. He quickly grew confused as she offered him a ride. There were rules he followed - things he had watched with his dad growing up that he never wanted to repeat with his own drinking. To him, following those rules meant that he didn’t have a problem. The number one rule was to not inconvenience other people. But on the other hand, he lived maybe ten minutes away, which would be more of a walk than he cared to admit. “Nah, I know how to hold my own. Haven’t thrown up since I was a kid.” He explained. “You sure about giving me a ride? You don’t have to.”

She couldn’t help but laugh a bit at his enthusiasm, she was used to most guys getting aggressive and annoying when they were drunk, and he - well, she supposed he was a little annoying, but it was more so funny than anything. “Since you were a kid?” She raised an eyebrow slightly. Paige knew how to hold her own as well, but she’d definitely had a puke or two the morning after a long night. “I wouldn’t have offered if I wasn’t sure.” That was true. Paige wasn’t well versed in niceties, usually if she said something, she meant it. “I know I don’t have to. But you sort of look like you need it.”

“Thanks,” he tells her before slowly reaching over. He was unable to help but drop a few over the table, though as he pulls away. “Sorry, a bit clumsy,” he gives a brief chuckle.

“It’s fine,” she murmured, finally looking up to make eye contact with the other. “You seem a bit jumpy. Maybe coffee’s not the best idea,” she cocked her head to the side, pursing her lips.

“Yeah, but I’m also bisexual….well…biromantic, I guess. I’ve dated guys and girls. It makes the ‘byesexual’ joke even funnier.” He tried to explain, before slowly standing up. He immediately lost his balance but recovered quickly by taking a step back. “Yeah, I’m fine. Jus’ killing time. Went to a concert and had a little too much to drink at a concert tonight, so ‘m just, like, walking home ‘cause I absolutely am in no shape to drive and don’t live that far away.”

She was definitely a bit perplexed by this talk about sexuality. “Oh. So you date guys and girls, but you don’t have sex with either of them ...” It didn’t sound half-bad to her, honestly. Most of the time she just found sex to be disappointing and an annoyance. “Well ... it sounds like you had a good night,” she mumbled, brushing back a piece of her hair behind her ear. “Listen, if you promise not to throw up, I’ll drive you home.” Paige wasn’t nice per se but this guy looked like he could pass out any moment and it was the middle of the city at night.

Kai hadn’t expected to be so thoroughly shut down by the other woman - as much as it stung, she’s experienced much worse. “You didn’t have to acknowledge me in the first place, babe,” she expressed, watching the stranger as her attention turned back to whatever she’s looking at on her phone. “Forgive me for pushing but are you doing okay or is this how you treat most people?”

She turned to the girl and furrowed her eyebrows together, squinting in a facial expression that screamed ‘what the fuck’. “I just said okay.”

“Well, I’d definitely have to hustle less, that’s for sure.”

“I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like them Sam I Am.”

“I like a cigarette every now and then, but I wouldn’t say I’m addicted ...”

“The only person I trust with my life is myself.”

     “Okay…— are you sure you don’t want some water?” She questioned again. Imani wanted to help her feel better as it was her consistent prodding that got paige on the ride in the first place. “I shouldn’t have asked you to go on with me, i didn’t know your body wouldn’t take so kindly, though I guess that’s to be expected for a ride that just goes in circles.”

“I’m sure. Let’s just walk.” She figured if she took 15 minutes or so to clear her head she’d maybe want to get some food or do something else. “I didn’t know it would, either. I used to always hate going on the school bus when I was little ‘cause it made me sick ... guess I haven’t changed much.”
