Just found out about @jezzzebel 's @paganblronlinefair and decided to join with a little collage for Lord Rosier!

The light pink half represents innocent love - that one childhood crush you still remember, the butterflies in your stomach when that one person looks your way... stuff like that

The red half is the overwhelming passion - the almost obsessive type of love, the "i'd do anything to get their attention" thoughts, maybe a bit dangerous at times.

The middle is the balance between innocence and passion, what most relationships are. Both types of love are important!

As the Earth turns once again, we are about to come into the Autumnal Equinox. This is one of my favorite times of year, from the festivals and fairs to the weather finally cooling down from the summer heat to some of my favorite fruits/vegetables coming into season or even the holidays soon to come such as Mabon (A pagan name for the autumnal equinox), Samhain/Halloween, Thanksgiving, Yule and Christmas.

As I start to take into account this transitional time of year, I come to the thoughts of the harvest time we started around Lughnasadh (Usually around August 1st or so, some call it Lammas or Loaf Mass, as it's the first harvest of the summer season traditionally speaking), where we are now at this liminal space of time Mabon, and the upcoming end of harvest at Samhain.

This equinox marks an even amount of darkness and light, and a transition toward the inward parts of the mind and the soul. The earth has given her fruits for us to survive, the harvests are starting to thin out or complete, animals born in spring are becoming old enough to be mature in their own right now, the trees are starting to shed their leaves in beautiful shades of amber, oranges, browns, golden. The sunsets are coming sooner and sooner, temperatures not raising as high as they used to either.

As the outward world is going through it's harvest and starting toward the inward introspection, it's a habit of mine to look back on what I've harvested in my life, whether that's more physical things like what's in the pantry or clothes in my closet or more intangible yet important things like relationships, my spirituality, checking in with myself and my spellcraft along with my mental health. These parts we have worked toward throughout the year, seeing where we were before versus where we are now.

Nobody's ever the same person a year ago as they are in the current time. Think back to what you were doing a year ago, were you working in the same job or field? Were you talking to the same friends or family as you are now? Did you have new hobbies or activities added to your life? Have you built a relationship with a new person, or in the same spot as you were with your romantic partner, or has that changed as well?

I take all of this into account as time goes forward, seeing what worked for me and what didn't, and sit with it, sometimes with a cup of tea or coffee, sometimes with music playing, sometimes in silence. I start to plan for what will come, whether that's to build new habits, new relationships, new options to move forward or to keep what worked, or even to toss out what doesn't work.

Mabon is a time of transition and has been an important milestone date for me as well, as that's when Loki that world shaker came to help me take stock of my life and shake out that which doesn't work. To me it's reminiscent of the way the autumn trees drop those leaves that no longer help the tree photosynthesize over winter. But those leaves can serve another purpose to nature as protection for insects and biodegrade over winter to help the plants roots.

It's a time of balance between dark and light, a time between the dying heat of summer and the chill winter winds. We can embrace this time of change, be grateful for all the things that occurred, breathe in, breathe out, and find what direction to go next.

So my patron is Bast, but lately I've been trying to connect with Hermes. While he's not my patron (I would love if he became another though), I want to talk about something interesting from our recent interactions for the Paganblr Online Fair

Twice now he's given me The Hermit card as part of a self-identifying card. I figured it makes sense because it's in his name, but when I tried looking up if others got the same impression I see more talk of The Magician or The Fool. I do see a lot of Hermit too, but no one really elaborates on why

This is a post for ramblings on my thoughts and experiences, it is not a post trying to express a singular truth

Question 1: What Do You Sell?

At our Temple Hyacinthus Jewelry Shop on Shopify, we sell one of a kind handmade jewelry sets based on different aspects/epithets of The Theoi (Greek Gods). We will soon be releasing our second series of jewelry, and in October will be launching HelPol rosaries and several 'Greek Hero' sets.

Question 2: How Long Have You Ran This Business?

The Temple itself was founding in January of 2024, but the store wasn't launched until August of 2025. I hadn't planned on starting the business officially until later in the year - but I was (illegally) fired from my day job on August 5th of this year so I decided to launch the project early.

Question 3: What Did You Start This Business?

I have always loved unique jewelry, mala beads, and abstract art - and after seeing how all the Metaphysical Shops in my area had the same repetitive, mass produced jewelry on offer I decided to start making my own. Originally it started out as just making 5 sets for myself to honor my Household Gods - but once I had completed those sets I fell in love and knew I had to keep going.

おやすみ、[oyasumi]

good night,

καλό βράδυ [kalo bradi]

et bonne nuit.

no matter how many times i greet you,

just before i fall asleep,

no matter how much i bask in your presence,

right when i close my eyes,

will never be enough, o peaceful lord,

to showcase my love for you.

winged beauty,

As I sat and spoke by phone to my newly won friend I felt a certain shift,

I sit at attention, the gaze of Anubis upon me,

My face meets his, the Netjer's eyes meeting my brown eyed cautious wonder,

He tilts his head, curious, gauging me, weighing me in his golden gaze,

I ask what he's come to see, why he's come to me, a new Lokean and newly minted witch,

He makes clear that my friend whom I'd just been texting is his devotee, and wished to know my stock, eyes weighing me like the heart against the feather,

I offer him my tea, unsure what he's looking to see from me, if my inexperience is not going to make the cut,

I ask if Anubis needs more room to sit, to which he laughs, a hopeful sign,

He smiles, telling me I'm interesting and has fascination of me, I tell him he's welcome when he wishes to return,

Anubis shows how to give farewell, and dissipates as quickly as he came, stating he will return,

I return my friends message, explaining what happened,

And in time, return Anubis did,

Coming as a protector of my friend,
