and this is part 2 of the comic about what I think happened after Grace picked up Simon and brought him aboard the ship

I’ve been doing this for too long for various reasons... I’ll be releasing 2–3 pages at a time and will try to pick up the pace

So you know when you are so starved there is this trope where you start hallucinating things as food. I’ve never experienced that really when starving but I did have a lot of times where I would pick at my skin and eat the barest bits of myself to see if that helped. Doesn’t ofc and also causes you to have a weird relationship with meat later in life so jot that down.

Anyway Grace resorting to eating himself could not have been so easy for him to accept. Idk what fucking Andy says he writes Grace too accepting sometimes and it bugs me.

However the idea of synthesizing his cells to clone meat came about, Grace would not be able to stomach it for a long time. A mix of late stage starvation making it near impossible to digest such things, and also just the pure horror at having to rely on eating himself in order to survive.

Grace, who is a science teacher and definitely had to teach biology to middle schoolers before, knows how to speak with patience in moments like this

So he finds a couple of tampons on the ship and teaches Simon how to use them

And by that I mean like... Grace puts it on him

They can lose patches of fur from stress, and since their tails are folded against their body I imagine that must be where the losing their tail myth came from!

*doom music starts to play* I actually kindof like scheduling these kinds of appointments now...
