[Apr.18.2026] Created "#toolkit" because it's too easy for me to run free from the standards I want to hold myself to and consider, it's there to help me reframe/reset. "🌙" and "🔆" are tags whose meanings to me converge at points, but the crescent generally is for the posts that feel personal to myself. The high-brightness sun is for posts that provide perspective(s) I didn't consider, inspire me, or have made me nod my head in agreement. The crescent's been around for a while, but I've never felt the need to explain or include it here until now. yeah it's looking like another owl-self-isolates-again time because of mental/emotional bullshit finally catching up (takes a while for me to process stressful things and it'll accrue if i don't watch out).
i'll work on some stuff i promised people i would because i'm not gonna ghost like that and i need to have some sort of enjoyment and care happening on my plate, but other than these things i'm just going back to my corner to try and recover from all of That.
*gets out a big megaphone* sanitizing female characters by removing all moral ambiguity and their ability to make complex choices is not any more feminist than demonizing them. you have to learn to appreciate female characters without finding some way to simplify their personhood into either "evil bitch" or "perfect pure girlboss." it is still dehumanizing to view women as virtuous morally pure angels of light who can do no wrong. thats just bog standard benevolent misogyny.
