Jackson huffed out a laugh, shaking his head. "Bigfoot? Really? I'd at least introduce you before running off with him," he shot back, giving Owen a playful bump with his shoulder. "Seems rude otherwise."
His teasing grin softened almost immediately when Owen mentioned having something he wanted to talk about. That earned him a curious look, one brow lifting ever so slightly, but he didn't press. Whatever it was, Owen had chosen now for a reason, and Jackson wasn't about to ruin the moment by trying to drag it out of him before he was ready.
The kisses, however, were far more distracting.
He smiled into them, lingering for one more quick peck before Owen pulled away and letting out a quiet chuckle as the cooler was relieved from his grasp. "Hey now," he protested lightly. "Making me carry the blanket while you take the heavy lifting? You're going to spoil me."
Their fingers slipped together as naturally as breathing, Jackson giving Owen's hand a squeeze while they walked, scanning the area for a moment before nodding toward an open stretch with a clear view of the sky. "That spot look good?"
"I'd hope so!" Owen couldn't help a bigger laugh in reply. "After almost three years with you, I actually have a pretty damn vested interest in meeting the hairy guy if it ever happens," he teased, bumping him right back as they started walking. "Let your muscles rest for a couple minutes, stud," he replied with a grin. "I know mine aren't quite as impressive, but I think I can handle some heavy lifting so I can spoil my fiancé every now and then."
As they arrived to look over spots, Owen glanced over and smiled at the mostly clear space. "Looks pretty perfect, actually," he added. He looked a bit more just to determine there wasn't a better spot right under their noses, but he gave a firm nod soon after. "Let's go ahead and grab it," he decided, walking over and setting down the cooler.
