Tohsaka Fujiowa, an employee at one of the top computing companies both in Japan and overseas, Kami-Byte Industries, has created a way to access the future in the present day.

The Giga Belt.

Using a keypad, you can choose what object you want to bring from the year 2050 to the present.

However, the singularity occurs. The computers inside Kami-Byte take to the assembly line to build an army of unfeeling, cold hearted robots. The world is effectively, ended.

2030

Tohsaka's son, Hirose, manages to access the ruins of the Kami-Byte facility on a routine supply run. When there, he finds the Giga Belt, and a cartridge that reads "KAMEN RIDER- FOR MY SON"

On his way back to the nearby survivor camp, a group of robotic soldiers ambush him. Forced to use the belt, Hirose transforms into Kamen Rider Giga, and he beats back the robots.

However, once he gets back to camp, he finds everyone slaughtered, including his mother and father.

This manages to make him realise his destiny: to unearth why the world ended, and kill whatever force made the robots become sentient; by any means necessary.
