‘oh you're just disappointed you didn't get a fanfic moment' well yes! but i can handle that. to be a fsngirl is to be disappointed but sometimes....it almost feels purposeful.. the avoidance. canonically, the way they have written buck,and buck&eddie….based purely on canon, based purely on THEIR writing…we should have gotten an #emotional scene between them... or buckfocused worry.. canonically that would make narrative and character sense... and to avoid it. is to go off the natural road that's been laid down (BY THEM) and that detour feels off. audiences can tell... even if they can't always put their finger on it... so im not even talking about the buddieofitall..im saying this show now in so many instances chooses not to follow or doesn't know how to follow?) the narrative paths set by years of characterization and dynamic build up and that's why so many things feel slightly off... “he wouldn't fucking say that” well actually he would... and the fact that he didn't almost seems like a blatant avoidance...why?

also the thing is, when you stunt and stilt characters and storylines , when you forgo following the natural flow of where the story wants to take you, everything comes up flat. bc suddenly the plot (which is a vessel thru which your character is built bc we see them react and learn and grow and change and find themselves thru the situations they are placed in) becomes meaningless. So the character can’t make any real cohesive headway. It’s just a series of rooms in a fun house. nothing has anything to do with anything else. it’s just for a quick thrill. Then you’re out. And nothings changed….

When a book is bad, oh well, the failed artistry of one rube, maybe co-authors. But when a movie is bad, and you consider the military-like scale of production, man-hours, the money involved: you must understand, it feels like I’ve been at war with the world for 29 years.
