i agree with the idea that buck's coming out was all about eddie. and i think this whole "eddie can't date anyone else, it has to be buck only" is silly because they are very different characters. for buck, it made sense that it went the way it did because he's been obsessed with eddie since the moment he laid eyes on him (whether it was jealousy, envy, insecurity, whatever you wanna call it).
the way buck and eddie live their lives is extremely different so i don't see why eddie should be "bucksexual". you guys keep talking about how "we don't have time" (for what? what do you mean? there's no time for eddie?) and i often see arguments like "eddie is a nester, he nests" "eddie doesn't sleep around" thrown around, and if you, like me, believe that eddie is a gay man (not unlabeled, not queer, not bi) then why are you using his current "straight" life as an indicator of how he's going to live when he's out?
a lot of his behavior could just be explained by the fact that 1. he doesn't know he's gay, and 2. maybe he knows but he's not out
but what's sillier about all of this is that this is all just fandom stuff, why can't ppl have fun shipping eddie with father brian, nurse ian, whoever the fuck?? especially if we're all buddies in the end? if you ask me, this is just another sign of how #real and #true and #endgame buddie is. an interlude couldn't damage it.
how is it the general fandom consensus that "buck doesn't even know he's in love" (but he's bi and out) and eddie "already knows"? what does he know? how does he know? how did we get here? what even happened in this season to support that theory? (that can't be explained by the fact that buck is his best friend and he'd do anything for him). is he not allowed a little fun episode about it? i also never understood the whole "eddie could never date another man first, that's not eddie, he's a nester who nests". i do agree that he's a nester who nests (#omegaeddie forever) but could it be that the reason he doesn't "date much" is because he's not straight? and we're getting there? we don't know how he'd be like when he dates the population that he actually wants to date.
No matter what, we have LouLou on the pitt today and Buck whump, so I would say we already won regardless
In this week's 911 on A03, we will have lots of missing-person's-turns-out-to-facilitate-reconciliation, whump, hurt/comfort... but in 911 ABC's world we will be lucky to even hear the rotor blades of an helicopter in the distance. Do we even continue assembling the full clown costume?
