They are perfect, they did nothing wrong, and at the same time they killed their friends to save humanity, Eva Stratt wouldn't hesitate to send Michael Shelly into the Spiral, Gertrude wouldn't hesitate to send Grace into space, they are so strong and so capable, and so incredibly alone.

Okay, I've finally watched Project Hail Mary, beautiful film, loved it so much, cried, screamed into a friend's dms through the night.
But it's not what I've come to Tumblr for.
Cause I also have a relatively recent hyperfixation on "The Magnus Archives" podcast. So my brain did a thing it's prone to do.
Anyway, spoilers for the film (and book, I assume, haven't read it though) "Project Hail Mary" and The Magnus Archives (mainly MAG 101, but I may mention something in passing from after it). You were warned.
So.
Gertrude Robinson and Eva Stratt would have amazing lesbian sex actually.
Just imagine these two. Toxic girlbosses purely focused on their missions, and fully ready to kill another person (or, more correctly, send them to a certain death) to save the world.
Eva, of course, did it with Grace, Gertrude had our wonderfully eaten Michael.
I am sure this relationship won't end happily. Not only because Gertrude is killed, but also because of who these women are. One of them will probably end up shooting the other.
But by God, the sex would be amazing, wouldn't it?
I am a philosophy student and some time ago we discussed Kant's Critique of Judgment and OH MY GOD, this is so close to the Vast, I cannot stop thinking about it.
Here's one of the quotes:
"On the other hand, consider bold, overhanging and, as it were, threatening rocks, thunderclouds piling up in the sky and moving about accompanied by lightning and thunderclaps, volcanoes with aU their destructive power, hurricanes with all the devastation they leave behind, the boundless ocean heaved up, the high waterfall of a mighty river, and so on. Compared to the might of any of these, our ability to resist becomes an insignificant trifle. Yet the sight of them becomes all the more attractive the more fearful it is, provided we are in a safe place. And we like to call these objects sublime because they raise the soul's fortitude above its usual middle range and allow us to discover in ourselves an ability to resist which is of a quite different kind, and which gives us the courage [to believe 1 that we could be a match for nature's seeming omnipotence."
HELLO??? The sight of them becomes all the more ATTRACTIVE the more FEARFUL it is??
a bigger quote, but please, read it:
"Therefore, when we call the sight of the starry sky sublime, we must not base our judgment upon any concepts of worlds that are inhabited by rational beings, and then l conceive of the bright dots that we see occupying the space above us as being these worlds' suns, moved in orbits prescribed for them with great purposiveness; but we must base our judgment regarding it merely on how we see it, as a vast vault encompassing everything, and merely under this presentation may we posit the sublimity that a pure aesthetic judgment attributes to this object. In the same way, when we judge the sight of the ocean we must not do so on the basis of how we think it, enriched with all sorts of knowledge which we possess (but which is not contained in the direct intuition), e.g., as a vast realm of aquatic creatures, or as the great reservoir supplying the water for the vapors that impregnate the air with clouds for the benefit of the land, or again as an element that, while separating continents from one another, yet makes possible the greatest communication among them; for all such judgments will be teleological.
Instead we must be able to view the ocean as poets do, merely in terms of what manifests itself to the eye- e.g., if we observe it while it is calm, as a clear mirror of water bounded only by the sky; or, if it is turbulent, as being like an abyss threatening to engulf every thingand yet find it sublime."
LIKE, C'MON
I really feel like I found a book from the Library Of Jurgen Leitner and now I'll have to throw people into the ocean or something, oh my god
It doesn't help that I already consider myself as closest to the Vast out of all the Entities. Like, I am probably marked by Lonely, End, Extinction and Spiral, but the Vast calls to me. I love oceans, the sky and cosmos.
So I guess stay tuned for the post of me talking about my Avatar powers.
I was a bit bored in Python class, so I ended up creating this.
In the spirit of all the tumblr posts where the ops are replaced with characters from some media, I present to you my take on characters from Metamorphosis of a Soul by @felyas-stuff on Tumblr, based on this thread:
So @felyas-stuff and I talked about Honeycutt (as we do every day) and she brought up a headcanon that Zayton had a FNAF phase, but dropped it some time ago, so Donnie would have to explain new lore to him
So, in anticipation for the next issue of the comic, I present to you a rendition of what it could've looked like
The images were cut from the preview of the fifth issue from AIPT comic, Honeycutt's head was cut from the panel of the forth issue, the 20th page.
Also me using it was meant to be a reference to this incredible (not sarcasm) from Mere Appendix (THE Literature)

Okay, so. Full disclosure: not a big TMNT fan. Not in a sense that I don't like them, I DO, I just didn't watch many things. Want to, but still hadn't. Probably should.
But.
My friend has a hyperfixation and I love her too much not to be interested at least a little. And also learn all I could from her infodumping /affectionate
So, great TMNT fans of Tumblr, maybe you have the answers I seek.
This is related to the 4th issue of the new Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic, so, although almost a week has passed, I will cover it with spoilers.
So. Let's look at the dialogs between Bishop and Blanque.
We have Bishop coming in strong, she is addressing Blanque as almost a subordinate. He was supposed to take care of things like securing the place and making sure Honeycutt isn't around. This isn't how you address the superior officer at least.
However, Blanque is also not treating Bishop as if she has any power over him. "Relax, Bishop" isn't what one says to their commander.
It almost looks like Bishop and Blanque are (and/or from) two separate entities. However, in the TV show we were shown that Bishop was recruited by EPF and Blanque, obviously, is part of EPF.
Are these scenes somehow happening before Bishop's recruitment? Is this why she doesn't have the uniform like Blanque? She does have some kind of bulletproof vest, but it doesn't look like it has EPF insignia.
Maybe EPF have different branches? It would explain something, and it would make sense for Bishop to be part of some kind of science-robots branch, but aren't EPF a black ops military organization? They are "Men in Black", they are fighters, it would still not imply completely separate divisions where Bishop and Blanque wouldn't be in some sort of hierarchy. And they appear as if they aren't, as I already said.
I don't know much about TMNT. I don't know much about army, honestly. I am not from the US.
But the Bishop/Blanque dynamic seems fascinating to me. Not in a romantic sense, just as characters. If one is above the other structurally, they certainly don't care about that. But they also obviously don't respect each other too much. One is focused on Honeycutt, the other – on the turtles.
I really want to see more of these two. This is the main point of my ramblings. I really want to see these two interact. They are cool.
Okay, as I just wrote this post, I need to talk about this lines:
Why does she say they need to stop BLANQUE and not Blanque AND Bishop? Is Bishop already out of the picture? I sure hope not, their dynamic was ELECTRIC
