Here the result of the St. Bathans fauna stream! This one took us into the early Miocene of New Zealand, the Moa's ark, as some call it. After many formation streams with very few birds this one has probably way too many!

The St. Bathans fauna formed shortly after NZ reemerged after being nearly gone during the Oligocene. It preserves a rich, subtropical wetland community dominated by anseriformes. Boy do we have many ducks here!

I was listening to this song while drawing.

I associate Ben with this song a lot, so it's my favorite song!

In the future, Ben really missed Gilbert and suffered for him. I think he might have been depressed. He often struggled with internalized homophobia that Ruth imposed on him after *Gilbert's death* Ben didn't get enough sleep because he had frequent nightmares about that day, which caused him to develop insomnia and inattention.

It's not by chance that beer is found next to cognac; according to my headconons, oddly enough, Ben often drank cheap canned beer.
