So quick background I am from Dominican Republic I was born there and I came here when I was 10 years old so I donât come from much money. I am now 18 and I started to transition almost a year ago and the more Iâve been transitioning the more I have realize that it is unsafe for me to go out and live my truth without facial feminization surgery. Being a black trans woman I have a huge target on my back as it is, but itâs a lot harder when you canât pass. At first in the beginning of my transition I thought I wasnât going to get any surgeries or anything but I quickly realized that for me and my transition itâs a necessity. If you canât donate thatâs completely ok, I know that some people just canât. I am one of those people, every time I see my trans sisters with a fund me account I want to donate so bad but then I have to worry about what Iâm going to eat the next day. So if you canât donate thatâs completely ok, but if you can itâs greatly appreciated regardless thank you so much for reading my story and visiting my page. I hope everyone has and awesome day and stay safe. http://www.gofundme.com/2i4srdo
Please donate, or if you canât, reblogging to spread the word really helps!!! Hasana is a friend of mine and it is super important for me as a transmasc person to help support my trans sisters in any way I can!! Any support is appreciated!!
This has been up for over 2 years and has less than $900 and less than 60 donators
            !!!!!!!!! BREAKING NEWS !!!!!!!!!!
The Tennessee Supreme Court ruled former sex slave Cyntoia Brown MUST serve 51 years in prison before she is eligible for parole.
According to them:
âIn todayâs unanimous decision, the Tennessee Supreme Court explained that, under state law, a life sentence is a determinate sentence of 60 years,â the court wrote. âHowever, the sixty-year sentence can be reduced by up to 15 percent, or 9 years, by earning various sentence credits (good behavior. & getting involved in prison based education programs while incarcerated) Therefore, the Supreme Court concluded that a defendant serving a life sentence for a first-degree murder committed on or after July 1, 1995, may be eligible for release after serving at least 51 years of the sentence.â
For those of you who havenât yet caught up to this story:
Cyntoia Brown was a 16 yr old girl, who at the time of the incident was living in a room at a Nashville InTown Suites with Allen (the man who propositioned her for sex) because her pimp and boyfriend Garion McGlothen, nick-named âKut Throat,â insisted that she needed to earn money.
Kut Throat abused her physically and sexually throughout the approximately three week period in which she lived with him.
After Allen took her to his house, he showed Cyntoia multiple guns, including shotguns and rifles. Later in bed, as she described in court, he grabbed her violently by the genitals, his demeanor became threatening and, fearing for her life, she took a gun out of her purse and shot him.
IF YOU WANT TO HELP:
You can sign this petitionÂ

#StayWoke
The parole board split on whether Cyntoia should be granted clemency. /BillHaslam can still grant her clemency before he leaves in January. You can reach him at: phone #: (615) 741-2001; e-mail: [email protected]

I donât even procrastinate anymore I just straight up neglect 100% of my responsibilities
âGuns donât kill people, people kill people.â
No. Shut the FUCK up.
Guns. Kill. People.
If we had gun control, none of this bullshit would have happened.
Donât come at me with that âTheyâd just do it illegally anyway!!!!â Shit. Maybe so, but it would be more difficult for them to do so. Cruz got his gun legally, he had no problem doing so even though he had been reported to the FBI before.
Donât blame this on mental illness
Donât blame this on mental illness because this kid was mentally ill, but he also had easy access to guns.
And thatâs what killed people.
Today was a hard day for many people. I normally donât get involved in anything other than the fandom and if you unfollow me because of what I say, then good riddance.
Something has to change. Some of you say that your right to bare arms is that - your right. Sure. Sure it is. Why not. If you use guns responsibly and follow laws and rules - then sure. As a Canadian, I have no right to judge you for that.
But I am judging you. I am judging you for the countless lives lost here because your âright to bare armsâ that has zero accountability is fucking killing people. You can argue that itâs people killing people. Go ahead. But their weapon of choice isnât their fists, is it?
A gun gets the job done better, doesnât it? The most pain, the most damage as quickly as you can fire that gun off. As many bullets as you can stuff in your pockets. Youâve counted how many lives youâre going to take with those bullets that you stuff in your pocket.
Do you know how many shootings have happened since the beginning of this year in America in a school? 8. Thatâs 8 preventable shootings. One shooter was a 15 year old. Why was a 15 year old allowed access to a gun?
At what point is it okay to have no gun controls in place that prevent a fucking 19 year old from picking up a rifle and killing 17 people at a high school. Never mind the injured ones.
The answer is - surprise: itâs not okay. The point is this is not-o-fucking-kay.
Iâm absolutely sick to my stomach today. My friend goes to that school. She could have died today. She had friends who died today. She had her friends family die today.
And for what?
What reason can you give me that will excuse what happened today? What excuse can you provide to me that will allow me to see why itâs so important for you to carry a gun, to leave it laying around for a kid to pick up. For a toddler to accidentally kill a family member. For a child to kill themselves.
For a teenager to ruin the lives of 17 families. And traumatise the lives of the 3000+ students who have to walk through the halls next Tuesday that their friends and teachers bled in, screamed in, died in.
I saw videos from students phones. I heard that gun go off. I saw the smoke. I saw a laptop with bullet holes through the screen. That was a video. I was this affected by a video. Please tell me how the students today, how every survivor of a school or event shooting at any given time goes on with their lives. And why you having a gun at the ready is more important than the fear, the PTSD that 3100 more students will now struggle with after today.
Tell me.
âHe bought a gun at 18, but if he wanted to buy a beer heâd have to be 21.â

âdonât judge a book by itâs coverâ is a beautiful powerful sentiment that i fully ignore when book shopping
so im trying to decipher this chart on wikipedia that has common vampire weaknesses in it and
a âgreen/yesâ is a weakness, a âred/noâ is something that isnt a weakness, and a â?â is something that has never been addressed but fucking riddle me this
in what lore are vampires weak to getting soggy in milk
i scrolled over to check to see what this could possibly be and
places a hand on me cheek
Years ago, you promised your firstborn to a witch. Since then, despite your best efforts, you canât seem to get laid. The witch is starting to get pretty pissed.
Yâall get together to discuss your options and she starts coaching you on how to get men because she doesnât want to waste more magic on you without promise of payment. The more time you guys spend together the more you realize you have a bit of a crush on her. Soon youâre sabotaging your dates on purpose to see her again.Â
Long story short you fall in love and get married and do the sperm donor thing AND YOUR FIRSTBORN IS HERS BY DEFAULT and you live happily ever after. The end.
Baby cries in the middle of the night
Witch: Ughhhhh. Itâs your turn.
You: You bought it. You handle it.
That is what I call a fairy tale ending.
2018 calls for more traveling, more moments of love, more saying âyesâ, and less giving into fear.
Yesterday I went to buy some yarn and so you know how annoying it is when fucking people put those stupid bullshit âdonât use this, wool is murderâ PETA stickers on the label?
First of all, stop defacing stock in someoneâs store. Youâre not clever or saving the planet or anything. Youâre making it hard for customers to shop and see the info they need on the label (yardage, weight, dye lot)⌠Youâre making employees spend hours peeling the damn things off, and in some cases, youâre causing damage to the label and or yarn itself. That means loss to the company, which affects employees who probably make minimum wage, you shit bags. You want to make change happen? Contact corporate, you fuckhead. Thatâs where decisions are made.
Second of all, wool is not murder. Are you fucking stupid? (Obviously the answer is yes). Itâs a fucking haircut for a sheep. Theyâve been domesticated so long that if we donât sheer them, itâs bad. Yes, some sheep donât live in ideal conditions. Got a problem with that? Going to a yarn store and putting stickers on things isnât going to change it or the minds of customers. For fuckâs sake, you absolute cockwomble, go to the yarn companies. Make them use wool providers that use humane conditions for their yarn, like A LOT OF YARN COMPANIES DO.
And third of all.
You. You precious, empty-headed little shitnugget. You complete and total sawdust-for-brains.
You put your fucking stickers all over acrylic yarn.
Thereâs no fucking wool in there. Itâs all synthetic fiber. Basically, itâs plastic.
You fucking dumbass.
I connect with this post on a spiritual level

Me, when I buy 24 roombas and an amazon alexa
Me: Alexa, unleash the roombas
*24 roombas emerge slowly from under my bed, consuming everything in their path*
if you dont have me on facebook you are probably not missing out on any posts but the comment section is important too lmao
I went to the Renaissance faire dressed as a warrior. I had a real sword with me, too. I was standing (in character) next to a sword-fighting ring, where kids of all ages got the chance to pick up a sword and challenge the champion. Some woman walks by, with her little girl. The girl starts walking towards the ring, saying she wants to fight. But the mom pulled her away hella sharply, and was like, âThatâs for boys.â You donât want to be a BOY, do you?â   And the girl looked around and saw me. I think she thought I was a boy; I had my hair in a ponytail, and was wearing a hood. So she comes up to me and asks me, âDo you think girls can be fighters, too?â And her mom looks like sheâs silently gloating. Like she thinks Iâm going to say no. So I take off my hood, untie my hair so that it flows freely, and kneel before her. And Iâm like, âMilady, anyone can be a fighter.â I swear, the look on that motherâs face made my day.
This post was good but then it got better
Okay, this is a slight topic diversion, but in response to the above comment. Iâve volunteered at the CT Ren Faire for years now. For the last 5 or so Iâve worked in the game section, and we have a game similar to the above comment called âSmite the Knightâ. Iâve been in the ring before, itâs a ton of fun getting to run around with the kids. The main goal is entertainment. Have a good shtick, keep the crowd engaged, and let the kids have a good time.
In both work and observing, I have learned something about kids. A lot of parents try to get their boys to go fight. Of the young ones that do, they tend to be shy. You get the ones who just swing the boffer swords around with no regard for life, but, mostly, theyâre reserved. Itâs adorable. I mean, theyâre kids.
But the girls. THE GIRLS. Holy crap. I swear, the pinker the dress, the more taffeta and glitterâŚthe more intensity. I remember, the first year I worked there, one girl came in, grabbed the biggest sword she could, and WENT TO TOWN on our knight. Lifted it over head, let out this primal scream and mowed him down. Homeboy is 6â˛2âł, she was FIVE. And once he was in the fetal position (He was fine. It was for show.) on the ground, she stopped, put her foot on his chest, and yelled âI AM A FIERCE PRINCESS!!â. Later in the day when she walked by a couple of us yelled âAh! Itâs the fierce princess!â and she stopped and flexed. It was the best, and I will never forget that girl.
OH MY GOD ITâS BACK YES
This has improved since last I reblogged.
I taught karate for like 5 years, and the girls were always, pound for pound, better than the boys. Even the girls who didnât really want to do it and were only there because their parents made them were better than like 95% of the boys.
I was playing fiddle at a ren faire, and two little girls were really enjoying our set. After quite some time one of them walked up to me and shyly offered me her star tinsel tiara, because she âdidnât have any money. And this protects you from trolls!â I said âThanks, thatâs really sweet â but what about you? Donât you need protection from trolls?â
At which point this six-ish-year-old girl whips out her certificate from the axe throwing booth and says âNah, Iâm fine.â
I still have that tinsel tiara. Itâs draped over my modem. I figure itâll protect me from the most trolls that way.
I am not in the habit of reblogging a post and slapping an âit got betterâ on there BUT I SAY GOTDAMN
It got better :D
