if you knew me circa 2011-2013 when i was at the height of my hirasawa fandom i am genuinely so sorry. not just because of the lethal levels of cringe but because i am just so embarrassed of the person i was. but at the same time i was 13 so i guess i shouldn't expect so much of myself in hindsight. maybe in a way i had to be Like That to grow into the person i am now. how crazy is it that i was part of the first generation of people whose adolescence was completely recorded firsthand for all the world to see? i turned 25 this year, and it feels like just months ago i was crying myself to sleep while listening to this senior citizen's music, pulling all nighters on a school night to watch him perform, etc. i still remember the smell of the air conditioner in that apartment. the person i was then feels like a stranger to me now
mostly i'm glad i've matured past getting so emotionally attached to actual real human people. 13 year olds are so cringe, i can't believe i was 13 once
just gained a follower from a susumu hirasawa post i made when i was 14 and that is so scary
“average person eats 3 spiders a year” factoid actualy just statistical error. average person eats 0 spiders per year. Spiders Georg, who lives in cave & eats over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
An actual World Heritage Post
how does this post not have a million notes but anyone online can quote it

“David [Suchet] believes Poirot’s moustache is a crucial key to understanding the man. ‘In the books the moustache is variously described as being stiff and military, or alternatively small, tight and very finely curled. But what is more important is what Poirot himself says about it. He says it has to be a thing of beauty and must suit his face because he is a very vain man. ‘I had to find the look to find the man. The moment I put the moustache on I took on his personality. Then, and only then, did I really feel I had become Poirot. But the more I have become Poirot, the more I have enjoyed him,’ he says.” - Peter Haining, Agatha Christie: Murder in Four Acts
