ik bucky remembered steve at this point, but if he hadn't this would have been his 'jesus fucking christ, steve' moment bc who else would have the audacity to break into his apartment and the first thing he does is read his damn diary

Summary: Itâs been a while since youâve encountered with the Hummer Boy at the sports store and met him at your daughterâs game. And you two have gone out so many times during the past weeks and none of you had made the move to kiss the other. But that was Jensen holding himself back until you gave yourself to him first.
Part One | Part Two

âPlease, donât do it!âÂ
âYou have no choice.â
Pooch looks over to see Jensen play with the two toys he made from their own gear for his entertainment and Pooch furrows his brows in disgust. âUgh, grow up, Jensen.â
âWhat?â The blonde asks, grinning. Pooch shakes his head with a grin and sits down, waiting for their friends to come back. âYou think Roqueâs bitching at them?â Jake asks, Pooch lifts up his head to him and squints. âMaybe, why?â Jensen shrugs his shoulders, âI donât know. He knew something was up with the mission. Like we werenât gonna make it out.â Pooch shrugs back and looks out to the forest where the three ran off two.
âWell, theyâve done it before, why not do it again?â
Jake chuckles and lowers his head to go on his Grid case. Pooch grins, âHowâs you and the MILF?â Jensen doesnât retract his eyes from the screen. âOh, come on, Pooch. You have a wife and a kid, donât-â
âCome on, Jensen. We all havenât seen her since the last game and you have been busy this month, weâre lucky to have dragged your ass out here in Bolivia.â Jensen raises his head up to him, âI was helping a nice old woman who was having trouble with her systems around the house, it took weeks to help her, she was... very commanding.â
Pooch chuckles. Without him knowing, Jensen found the service in New York and began to type furiously on the keyboard. He presses the space key.
âMama, have you seen my water bottle?â You turn around and pointed to the direction for Ava. âItâs in the dishwasher. Are you almost ready?â You called, you hear her run into the kitchen to pull her bottle out. âAlmost!â You walked over to the front door to grab your keys and your phone dings. You reached in your pocket and pulled out your phone to see an unknown message.
You grinned and read it.
Unknown:Â Howâs it hanging?
You shook your head and began to type.
You: What is it with you and the unknown numbers? Iâm starting think itâs not you.
Unknown:Â It is me and I asked you a question first.
You: Weâre hanging there. Iâm about to drive Ava to practice.
Unknown: Nice.
You: Now answer mine.
Unknown: For safety.
Unknown: I donât trust a lot of people.
You: You trust me?
Unknown: I do. Just not others.
Unknown: You busy this weekend?
You: Depends...
Unknown:Â What?
You: Depends if you can impress me by arriving on time.
Unknown: And now you made me feel bad
Unknown: Once again.
You: Plus Avaâs gotta have you over.
Unknown: Done. So yes?
You: Fine. Iâll see you soon, hummer boy.Â
Unknown: I love you|
Jensen stopped to rethink about sending it, but when he saw the sign he was offline, he sighed and closed his computer to see Pooch clean his gun. âI hear them coming.â The radio on the table began to make static sounds of Clayâs voice shouting into the radio. Jensen takes the radio and holds it up to his mouth. âClay, Roque? You guys okay?â
âWe-â Static. âThereâs a tru-â More static and Jensen looks over to Pooch. âClay, I canât hear you, youâre unclear. Over.â He holds it up to his ear, Clay shouts in the radio causing Jake to pull it away. âWeâve bee spotted. Thereâs a truck headed your way, get out of there! Weâll meet boys on the southside of the river! Go! They got guns!â
Jensen and Pooch look at each other and jump up to run for the army green mil-sped hummer. Pooch takes the front seat and Jensen jumps in the back. âWhat are you doing?â He asks. Jensen pulls out his gun and fires, âMaking sure these assholes donât follow us!â Pooch curses under his breath as he continued to drive through the jungle. Jake tried to take out the driver but the windowâs werenât cracking. It was his time to curse under his breath. âPooch, find a way off this road-!â Jake shouts when Pooch hits a large pothole and a bullet from the men behind them hits him in the shoulder.
âJensen!â Pooch shouts, the blonde lowers himself back in the vehicle and Pooch glances over. âYou hit?â
âYeah... God, I canât get used to this bastards,â Jensen grits. Pooch jerks the turn and drives down the hill. âHold on!â Jake grabs onto something as the two jump in their seats while the other car continued down the trail and lost them. The two shout when a tree comes towards them. Well, Pooch going towards it. He jerks the wheel again and the car turns aggressively causing it to tilt. âShit!â Pooch grabs onto something and the vehicle rolls down the hill and it hits another tree.
Smoking emitting from the crash, Pooch heard his radio go off. âWe just saw them leave your area, you guys okay? Pooch?â Clay asked, the man reaches for the radio with a groan and coughs. âYeah... weâre grand.â Jensen groans as well and reaches for his shoulder. Pooch unbuckles his belt and hits the roof of the car, upside down with a groan. He slides out and goes to the back, opening the door. âCome on, headless Jensen.â Jake grabs Poochâs offered forearm and he gets pulled out.Â
Pooch picks him up and puts his arm under Jensen. âWe gotta get you to your single mom girlfriend.â Jensen groans when Pooch began to drag him away from the crash to meet up with Clay an Roque again.Â
.
âI got a RC-XD.â
Jensen lifted his gun up and aimed around the area for a moving object on the ground. The smell was not something he was not used to and it burned his nostrils. When he sees the small car with a red light beeping, it explodes and he falls back. âOh God!!â
âAva. Dinner.â
âHow are you good at this game?â He asked, Ava laughs and her fingers move over the controller. A game of Call of Duty Black Ops. One of the most popular games a ten year old mastered in just a month. Beating a man himself who lives in a real life warzone. He tosses the controller on the couch. âThis game is bad, clearly I lagged.â
Ava giggled, âYou just suck.â You peer out of the kitchen and grinned at the two. âYou both up for some dinner?â Jensen and Ava stand up, when Ava runs by Jake walks up to you and grins. âIs that what I was smelling, I mustâve been getting my ass kicked just getting distracted on your cooking.â
You hum with a grin, âWell, you should practice on it.â
âYou should teach me how to play,â He says, you shake your head and reached up to gently grab his bicep, âI canât play. Youâll kick mine.â Jensen grins and nods, âWeâll see.â Ava comes around with a plate and hands it to Jake. âHere you go.â
âOh,â He gasps, âThank you so much, Ava.â He doesnât use both hands as he held it in his good hand. She runs back to get herself a plate while you grin, âIâll be back.â You lightly pat his shoulder and walked around him to go do whatever you needed to do and he puts his plate on the table. âJake, can you grab me this?â Ava calls out. He comes over, âYeah, of course.âÂ
When he grabs the sauce for her, she grins. âMy mom really likes you.â
Jensen looks down at her, âOh, yeah? Has she been talking about me?â He asked. She leans on the counter with her forearms, âYeah. She worries about you.â Jensen furrowed his brows slightly. âWhyâs that?â
âI donât know, she doesnât really say.â Jake doesnât nod or reply as he grabbed himself a beer, even pouring Ava some juice for her. She watched him, âCan you come over for Christmas?â The man looks over to her in a bit of shock and with an unsure look. The little girl turns and grabs her cup, âMy dad doesnât come over to open presents, but you could open presents with us.â When she walked away, Jake followed her and then his gaze falls upon you with your arms crossed. He noticed your gaze followed Ava till you look up to him with a grin. His grew when he saw yours and he makes his way over to the table.
.
When all three of you finished your dinner, you set Ava to bed. Even Jensen was there to wish her a goodnight and maybe a round of Call of Duty tomorrow. Making your way with him to the bed, you reached down to pick up the folded clothes on the edge of your bed as he watched you. âI can sleep in the spare room, I-â
âJake,â You turn to him, âI donât mind.â He points to the hall where the spare room he used to sleep in. âReally, I can-â You walk up to him and he swallowed hard. âYouâre such a gentleman. I actually thought youâd be up for it.â He smiled sheepishly, âWell... I thought youâd want your bed for yourself.â You reach up to take his glasses and you slid them off, folding the temples and placing them on the dresser behind him before bringing your hands back up to the sides of his face. You look up to him, but he was the one to speak.
âAva told me you were worried when I was gone.â Your hands halt on his neck and you breathed in slowly. âItâs just scary.â
âWhy? Iâm right here.â
You side grin, âI just... donât know what you do. You say youâre some technician, then you say youâre a hacker-â He tilts his head at her, âAva called me a Hacker,â He corrects. You chuckled, âI just donât know you more than you know me.â Jake grins sadly almost at you as his hands take your hips. âI think itâs best to not know.â
You tilt your head at him, âI think itâs best for both of us to earn trust, Jake.â He lowers his gaze when he realizes his regrets. You didnât really need him, he couldnât trust anyone that he worked with him. He only lied to protect you. Now he thinks he canât say it. It wasnât coming out. He didnât want you to worry more. Maybe it could be better to just leave. But he didnât want to leave you and Ava.
Your hand drags down his shoulder and out of nowhere, the grip of your hand on his wounded shoulder he tried to keep a secret managed to be revealed when he yelps and leans away from your touch. You gasped, âJake! Are you okay?â He leans back up and nods, âYeah, Iâm... fine.â
âDid I hurt you?â You gently touched his shoulder as he lifted himself back up and you gasped. âOh my God, youâre bleeding.â Jake lets out a questioned hum and looks at his shoulder to see a palm sized seep of red. âWhat the hell did you do-?!â
âDonât scream, youâre gonna wake up Ava!â He says, you began to push him to the bed. âYou need to sit, what the hell are you doing with something like that?â You reached for his shirt to pull it off. âOh my God, Jensen-â
âDonât freak out-â
âIs that a bullet wound-!?â
Jake reaches for his forehead and groans, âWhy did it have to go this way?â You opened the patch that had already been done. âWho did this?â You asked, Jake doesnât even look at you when his head hung low. âSome guys in... Lacandon-â
âLacandon, Mexico?! You said you were in Miami-!â
âY/N, stop shouting, youâre going to make me freak out even more. I couldnât do this to you and Ava. It was a mistake keeping in touch with you, I-â He cuts himself off as you shake your head, âNo. Donât say that. Ava is lucky to have you and I am, too. God, I knew your job had to do with shooting-â
âWeâre professionals, Y/N.â Lifting your gaze up at him, he tilts his head awkwardly, âOkay, Iâm not all professional but Clay, Roque, Pooch, Aisha and Cougar, weâre all... can I tell you this tomorrow-?â
You raise your hands up, âYes! Just... let me help patch you again. Is the bullet out?â Jake nods and says Cougar was the one who pulled it out and told you it wasnât his first time getting shot. You managed to take a chill pill and you gave Jake a glass of water.Â
âIs this why you always keep your contact confidential?â
Jake nodded, âI canât risk anyone hurting you, Ava, or my niece. Thatâs why I kept everything from you.â You stood there silently as your hands peeled the bandage off to see the wound. âIf I knew sooner, I wouldâve-â
âLeft me?â He says, you stop to look at him again, his head tilted to see your eyes as his face looked sad. âTold me that it wasnât something you want to have in your life. To love someone who probably wonât come back-â You shut him up by pulling him in for a longing kiss. His brows raise in such surprise as he slightly leans in more. You pulled away and he lets out a huff, âYou were definitely an asshole for all those times you left me on delivered or hung up on me a lot.â Jake smiles and your hand cups his cheek. âBut I understand.â
Jake nods before his eyes began to grow heavy, you grabbed his other shoulder, âWoah, hey, whatâs wrong?â You asked, worriedly. Jake chuckles softly, âI donât know, someone pulled the bandage away from the only thing that kept my gun wound from bleeding.â You look down and saw the blood. âShit, Iâm sorry. Hold on.â
You fixed the bandage and managed to keep Jake awake and well since you are well trained on any wounds since youâve had Ava during her games. Sheâs had pretty big cuts but this was just a little more heavier than usual. You had Jake shirtless and bandaged on your bed as you both laid there. Both staring at the ceiling with your arm draped over his stomach and head on his shoulder. âI may not be the best guy to have. Got weird friends, crazy friends, a crazy job and a crazy schedule... but if you really think this isnât the life you want, youâre welcome to tell me to eff off and I will,â He says.
I thought about it. Not the part of breaking up, but the future of it when I say no. His constant reassurance, the constant disappearance, possibly more wounds and scars that youâve already seen enough of just by his torso. But Ava really enjoyed his presence here at dinner, you havenât seen that since, well, forever. âI say letâs put this one the backburner. But Iâm not getting rid of you because of your job that youâve had for a few years now. Iâm just scared. But... no more lies and being careful.â Jake rubs your arm softly and trailed his finger upward, before caressing your shoulder. âI promise,â He says.
There was a long silence between us, my eyes slowly drifting closed until I heard Jake inhale sharply. âDoes my bullet wound impress you, though?â Jake asks. I furrowed my brows. âTook it like a man, you know?â He adds.
âNo, Jake,â I say, âIt doesnât impress me.â I could tell he was smiling from ear to ear but I didnât bother to ruin the moment we were in as we drifted off to a peaceful sleep. Letâs just hope he doesnât try to impress you more with wounds.

Please let me know if you want to be tagged in future fanfics of mine in the comments below! I need to remake my taglist so hope you guys enjoyed thisÂ
I went into my old photos to see if I can find the old boards I made for some series. Found one. Burt sadly lost my Fifty Shades of Evans. Yes... I was going to make a series based on fifty shades of grey. But can't make it now.
Want to let you guys in on behind the scenes. I've rewatched Avengers Endgame, Civil War and currently watching Captain America: The Winter Soldier. And during these three films, I've got two ideas. Yes, only two. And I want to let you in on the summary. đŤŁ
Summary One: This takes place in Avengers Endgame, Steve and the reader are married and have been together since Steve woke up from the iceberg. During the events of Endgame, they time travel to 2012, and on the hunt for the scepter. Steve and the reader run into their past selves, arguing. It's a heartbreaking experience to relive again because this was the moment they separated. The reader walks out of the Avengers for good and leaves Steve. As a married couple now, it was very intense that Steve or you comfort each other and move on.
Summary Two: Endgame once again, this is includes cheating. Steve starts a group to help people who are struggling about the events of the Vanished (beginning of the film). And the reader is one of those people who lost their fiance. And in return, Steve understood losing someone he loved just not to the acts of Thanos. In return, he took the reader out to eat to speak more as they were struggling more than what they say in the group session.
Summary 3: This doesn't have a summary yet but it'll take place in Civil War. đŤŁ
So these are my planned ones but there still are a few drafts, some are unreleased new series, some are AUs. Here's the hints of AUs đ§ââď¸/ đş/ đ/đŤ , I tried rereading most of my writings and oh my gosh, how cringe. I'd like to apologize đ but let's hope now everything will be better. I would also apologize if series in the making might change slightly in characters, story plot and I will try to memorize what I did in the previous chapters and keep the good parts.

Summary: Andy is on the Ben Rifkinâs case who happened to be murdered. And the same day, Y/N doesnât return home. After hours and hours of searching for her, Andy finds her in the elementary playground. And she wasnât in good shape.
Iâm sure there wonât be a part 2 cause it will go crazy in the next one and I feel like Iâll mess up the next part so this is just it.
Also things may not sound like the right information, itâs just to bring the story together.
~~~
Andy had gotten a call from Duffy that there was a murder reported in Cold Spring Park. Andy had just started his morning and his case on the man with battery had already been done and he had to skip a meeting with Lynn.
Cold Spring Park was just by the Archer Middle School. And thatâs where Y/N and Jacob were. The two would take the trail down. He hoped the two were okay in the school.
Andy parks his car on the side and steps out to see Pam waiting for him. He walks over, âWhat do we got?â He asked. Pam follows him towards the yellow caution tape, âBen Rifkin, 14 years old, stabbed three times.âÂ
I think I wanna do a part 2 and see how it goes đđ I've been having daddy issues so I think I wanna add some more Andy Barber daughter and Ransom drysdale daughter time
How about tiny steve, nomad Steve, endgame steve (like the serious one not old man steve), fresh outta the factory captain America steve, and stealth suit steve? â¤ď¸
All In One - Steve Rogers Only!
All in One! I'm assuming you want one on how what kind of Steve is at a certain age or timeline and how they are in a relationship!
Warnings: Fluff mostly? really short, im sorry
Author's Note: Since I have returned, I have about 18 or less drafts in my box, a lot of requests and a lot of stories I have to reread and catch up since I've been gone for over 6 years. And since I am 21 now, I will start providing 18+ stories, requests will be closed for the time being as I am just now starting to get a grip on a good schedule. You're all welcome to send messages of hellos and any feedback for writing, I have read my stories and realized how fast I move with dialogue so I will try and improve that overtime since it confused me a lot as well.
Thank you all!
Also if you want to be tagged, please leave a comment and I will remake a taglist for those.
Pre-Serum Steve was a great gentleman, there was never a day where he didnât hang out with you. The small frail Steve was the type to protect you no matter how short he was compared to you. He loves going on dates, but he was always too shy to ask you. Your dates are usually fairs or movie drive-ins, ice cream parlors or even dancing. There were a lot of moments where men larger than Steve and taller, either in the army or not, would try and suggest you go with them saying, âIâll give you a good time.â Steve would reply, âTheyâre taken, sorry.â If it had to come to dresses, Steve loves when you wear dresses. Heâs respectful to your choices and doesnât fight back. Heâs the old-fashion type to kiss your cheeks and gaze into your eyes while smiling. He calls you Beautiful and enjoys holding your hand. He always has to pinch himself to make sure heâs not dreaming because he has someone so amazing in the Country that loves him.
~
Post-Serum Steve never changed his way of his relationship. Sure, he had more worries now that heâs got bad guys on his back. Heâs got more handsome and of course taller, you bet your ass, heâs towering you now. He plays jokes now that youâre not so tall and he likes to show off what the serum does. His tolerance for alcohol and his strength. Men donât ask you out no more when they see you with him. Oh, how you love Steveâs uniform. He still calls you Beautiful but now he gives you such soft and teasing kisses, you yearn for more. Heâs still shy for a guy who got big, he can hold you much better when you two dance. He knows now he can officially protect you and hold you in his arms like youâre his source of life. You're more worried now that
~
Stealth Suit Steve is a little more irritable, heâs got strictness to him and determination. You know that Soft Steve is still in there, you crack him open easy on free days. On missions, he wears that stealth suit, it really suits him and you like it. Besides the suit, he doesnât express his feelings on the job, heâd express it quickly. Squeezing your hand quickly before he lets go and leaves you to finish your side mission while he gets the bad guy. No fun. On free days, he likes to visit the museum, but you know you can make it more fun by watching movies he doesnât know or showing him things he doesnât know from his time. You like to call him old man, but he calls you Sweetheart. Jokingly or seriously, heâd say Maâam, it's his way to show respect for you. Steve wasnât always interested in dates since he was focused on personal things but you tried to get him out as much. He was a little boxed in with himself during that time but he opens up more in the future.
~
Nomad Steve, you two ran away with the others and relaxed in a different country. During the time, you and Steve finally had time for yourselves, there was no crime fighting and you two enjoyed the sunsets. This Steve was more out of it, he had his regrets and you two actually were in Wakanda. It was a beautiful place and you two enjoyed the view from the window. Steve was more affectionate, he got more out of his comfort zone and added touching to his kissing. Hands grabbing and pulling your hands, it wasnât your idea but he grew out the beard. It was definitely a strange feeling but you enjoyed the kisses. Since you were world criminals there wasnât a lot to do without getting caught. You two enjoyed walks and just late night moments that were secret under the sheets. Steve is known
~
Endgame Steve, after the events of Thanos' plan had gone to hell for Earth, Steve has developed more of a complex and stoic relationship. During these fives years and after, there was not much fun to enjoy when it came to your relationship, whether you were working with the Avengers or a civilian, it still was difficult during these times that dates weren't so... happy. With half the Avengers gone and some drew off for family, you and Steve stuck with Natasha and a few others. Steve mourned for his friends, Bucky and Sam. He would always be quiet and gentle in a sorrowful way when it came to you. He was lucky to have you here with him for those 5 years as it would be hard for him to stay grounded. You supported him as much as you could, trying to do some normal things in the world with the people begging them so much to fix things. Endgame Steve would still be there for you, holding your hand when he needed it. He looked much older after he shaved his beard, though you missed it just a little (or even a lot). In the end, during the whole mission of saving humanity, Steve chose to return the stones and even with outliving the true love of his life and seeing her. He returned to you.
I had a lil mini panic attack because I thought every series chapters was removed from my laptop but they're there.
Also power went out since Bay Area had 5 Level storms. I'm a little mad they didn't cancel school for that reason of heavy windstorms amd rain but it seems the storm didn't bother them anyway.
edited- Okay maybe I lied, I did lose some work on series and old requests. So I might be scheduled behind a lot.
Summary: Ransom Drysdale, a man who didnât make wise decisions in his teens. Wasting three years of his life in jail, he takes his freedom for another two. Little did he know, a woman he long ago had a thing for, ends up leaving him with a 16-year-old for the holidays. Hazel Rose Drysdale. His daughter.
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3
This takes place after Knives Out. Family will be mentioned/shown, there will be minor spoilers for Knives Out.
Warnings: Bad parenting, swearing, Ransom being an asshole, minor spoilers for Knives Out, angst, mentions of murder/jail, minor mental abuse, mentions of abortion/pregnancy, Mentions of suicide
I do not consent to have my work hosted on any second party app or site. If you are seeing this fanfiction anywhere but tumblr, it has been reposted without my permission.
Being free was something heâd never experience after jail. Two years after release, he never felt better. Everything was different. His parents never called him at all, sure they were pissed about losing their will for the house and everything inside. Marta was never mentioned since that happened. Five worthless years with the Thrombey and Drysdale families.Â
He was fine after his three years in jail. It was hell, he made a couple friends with just a few punches. Being the most charismatic and asshole, he made himself stand out more and he didnât fear that. He kept his distance between certain men, almost half of them were murderers like him. But theirs were gruesome. Many of them called him the Amateur Senior Killer.
Just like he said to Detective Blanc, his lawyer got him out of a life sentence. So he spent his time going to bars and meeting women as the usual thing he did since. Linda still had Ransom as her son but she never had the guts to speak to him. Sheâd send him money if she wanted to. Ransom made some off of things he canât explain to others.
With a swift push for his front door to open, Ransom stepped in and closed his door roughly. His lights were all on, the orange sunset light-like lights dimmed the home as warm and welcoming. His floor to ceiling windows looked out to the trees and other homes that were all large spaces apart from each other. His was at the end of the road and happened to be one of the most expensive homes there. Boston wasnât cheap. Though he could afford the house.
And then his phone went off.Â
He groans and slips his coat off, dropping it on the head of the couch and digging into his pocket. The third ring was cut off once he pushed the green button on the unknown number.
âHello?â He blurts into the phone. âHugh?â A female voice says, Ransom furrows his brows and closes his eyes shut. âWho is this?â He asks. The woman on the other end sighed softly. âItâs me.â
âWho?â He was really getting irritated by the lack of answering the damn âwho is thisâ question. âY/N.â Ransom turns his head to the corner of the room, brows aching by how long he held them furrowed. He chuckles softly, âIs this the blonde chick? Iâm sorry to burst your bubble, but Iâm not interested anymore.â
âItâs Y/N L/N,â You said into the phone more forcefully. You turn to Hazel who sat on the couch listening to your conversation. You quirked a brow at her. Hazel really wanted to be with this asshole?Â
âYou?â He asks, sounding surprised yet sounding sarcastic, âWell, itâs been a while.â You look at your fingernails, sucking on the inside of your cheek before grinning sarcastically that he couldnât see. âIt has,â You replied in a monotone. âSo... where are you now?â He asks, you slightly turn your head to that question. âIn San Francisco.âÂ
âYouâre living in a shit city, you know that, right?â He asks, you slightly laugh. âThe cityâs nice. So far for 16 years, weâve been doing pretty good.âÂ
âHow are your parents?â
âWhat do you care?â You asked, you could tell Ransom was grinning on the other end. Who knew you were feisty these days. Ransom stares out his window, imagining where youâd be standing. Watching across the country to see each other as if you were just a few feet away. Some kind of force pulling you two in. A negative one.
He shrugs, âJust starting a conversation.â
You turn away from your window and stare at the mirror in front of you. Ransom shoves his other hand in his pocket and sighed softly. âHow is she?â He wondered. You turned to sit on the edge of your bed, âSheâs fine.â Your eyes look down into your lap and your other hand pulls the edge of your shirt.
âShe wants to see you.â
Ransom scoffed a laugh, âSee me?â By his response, you already knew it was going to be difficult for him to not refuse. It would have to take years for him to accept it. But with the amount of thinking of it, it could change his mind. âShe wants to fly over to Boston and-â Ransom chuckles again. â-She wants to visit.â
âBelieve it or not, Iâve been a hell of a lot busier than I was 5 years ago. So, sorry to crush a little girlâs dream.â Ransom turns away from the window and heads over to the living room. Ransom then heard you scoff. âBullshit, you sat on your ass all day and night while your mom shined your damn shoes. Iâm guessing you would have some hooker do that now, huh?â
âI donât know what youâre talking about. I donât do relationships,â He deadpans.Â
âYeah, after what we did.â
âAfter what you did,â He replies. Ransom was just about to start pushing your buttons now, so you stood up, âIt wasnât my fault. An asshole like you wants to pop his cherry, not me.âÂ
âYouâre the one who said yes.â
You rolled your eyes, âHow much are you willing to do it? Name your price.â Ransom smirks confusingly, he laughs, âYouâre that desperate to get rid of her.â You shook your head, âNo! Iâm doing this for her! Sixteen years and youâre scared to be in the same room with her.â
âIâm not scared of anything, I could care less. My father has been a dick to me since I was born. So why be there for her?â
âYouâre her father, Hugh,â You replied, âIf anything youâre an asshole.â
âThatâs nothing new to me. Try another,â He taunts, you realized how much he loved to hear you shout at him. Like he had a bottle for every argument you had and he could sell those bottles a dollar each and get a couple hundred bucks out of it. It could be some turn-on for him. So you scoffed, âOh, I have more. I rather not say it while sheâs in the other room.â
âShe doesnât know?â
âI didnât bother her to look up your damn name.â
âShe would have the chance now if she knows my name. Not everyone lives a happy life, so tell her her father doesnât want her around and that she will never see this face.â You inhaled sharply to let out more words till you heard the click of line die. Pulling your cell away, his number disappears and your phone returns to your home screen. A picture of you and Hazel at the park with smiles on your faces. Who knew if you didnât have smiles on your faces if Ransom was still in your life. His family who were completely crazy and every get-together was a total freak show.
Youâd be tugging out your hair every day and night, having to worry about someone who was controlling and only cared about what he had in his bank account. Only cared about getting laid every night at the bar. But if you were with him, maybe rent wouldnât be this hard for you. Youâd probably have a better job than a journalist. Became a writer instead. Wrote about something similar to your daughterâs grandfatherâs stories.
Though he no longer existed, the company Blood Like Wine Publishing was given away to a young woman. You believed her name was written in the article years ago when the police closed in on the case and arrested someone from the home. Ransom.
He attempted to murder his own grandfather or have someone take his place murdering Harlan, but didnât get him far with a blackmail and the killing of their housekeeper. Arson for the small clinic and this was something that shocked you years ago. Ransom was the black sheep of the family, you knew it from the first day you met him.Â
A quiet kid at first, but weeks later he became a spoiled asshole who pushed every kid into dark pits. You remembered how many times he got you into trouble when you simply just followed him around like a lost dog. He was suspended almost every week. He was never expelled and the rumors spread that his family threatened the school if they ever did expel the boy.
In high school, he got more quiet. The rude comments never faltered. Every day, his face was always dead stare. For hours, heâd go on about how mad his family was. Ainât that the truth. Never in your life saw Ransom kill someone. You did think of it but never thought he was that crazy to do so.Â
Desperate for money. Thatâs what he wants and you tried to offer him some just so your daughter could see him for once. You worried if he would threaten her and sheâd do something irrational and itâd be his fault. But for the most of it, it would be yours. Letting your daughter stay with him. You would consider being the worst mother in the world. If Ransom doesnât call back, then there would be bad news for your daughter, Hazel. You figured Ransom would say no and it disgusts you that you called him for an answer you knew heâd say. You open the door to the small living room sharing itself with the kitchen, you realize Hazel was in her room with the light on. You almost forgot about the dinner you planned to make so you pulled out the pasta and began to make macaroni and cheese.Â
During the dinner, you two ate at the table and began to finish up until Hazel cleared her throat. âSo⌠did youâŚ?â You peer up at her and softly breathed through your nose. âIâŚâ You began, but the words werenât ready to come out, but you had to think, â...did, but there was no answer. He might have changed his number.â Hazel looked down at her plate and took a spoonful of pasta. âBut Iâll promise you, Iâll show you what Boston looks like.â Hazel was starting to almost pout but she kept her emotions to herself. âRosie, babyâŚâ You reached for her hand and gently held it. âYour father was not a good person years ago even when I was your age. His family is just as bad. I want to do what you want to do, but I also want to protect you because they never protected me.â
You let go of her hand and sighed.Â
Ransom was throwing off his coat after noon and felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He picks it up, âHi, Iâm a little busy. Can you call me another time?â He asks. âMr. Drysdale, you canât just reject the help.â He smirks and adjusts the phone, âUh, yeah, I donât pay for a therapist, my mother did, her money not mine, so I can reject it.â
âThatâs not how that works, Ransom. After your release, the judge suggests you look into treatment and coping with your familyâs problems with someone who can help you.â Ransom sits down and sighs, âGwen, I just donât feel like talking about myself or my family. Fuck them.â Gwen is Ransomâs current therapist after his release and in the first weeks of it, his sessions with her were the worst of his life. He felt like he was forced to talk about everything and he didnât share a lot of it. Everything was about his family and his grandfather that he didnât want to talk shit about.Â
âIâm assuming something bad came up in your week, Ransom.â
âFucking ex called me last night about a our daughter wanting to come to Boston, but fuck her.â
âA daughter?â Gwen asks. âNot my kid,â Ransom scoffs. Gwen hums on the other end, âHave you been intimate with this ex?â Ransom drew his head back into those days of high school. âLike a horn-dog.â Gwen responds with a soft okay. Ransom realizes heâs been pushed without thinking, âBut thatâs not what I want to talk about.â
âI think we should,â Gwen says, âThere may be something to resolve with it.â Ransom shakes his head, âI left her when I was 18 after that I didnât have any problems. Except my mother flipping over that I have a daughter roaming around but Iâm sure that bitch cheated.â Gwen hums again, âWe can talk more about this daughter of yours on Thursday. So Iâll set the appointment and I hope you come and drop by, Ransom.â
âI donât think sââ
âGoodbye.â Ransom stops and the line dies, his hand falls to his thigh and he stares at his phone. His fingers grip the edge of his case and he yells, throwing his phone across the room. âFuck!â Ransom didnât know why he got angry, was it the idea of his therapist knowing his daughter is roaming on this earth or that his ex is still alive?
.
You were in the office, typing away on another paper about the ideal of financial planning and it was due in the next day or two. âHowâs the paper going?â Charles asks, peering over the small separating walls. You jump at the slightest, âOh, itâs going well, I just need a couple more sentences and it should be able to go into the papers.â Charles gives you his softest grin of approval, âFantastic, Eddie will be so pleased.â Charles stayed there until you made your way to the copy machine and printed out the papers. He leaned on the counter. âAre you doing okay?â He asked. You look up to him and pinched your brows inward.
âYes? Why?â
âI can tell by how tense you are.â
âIâm fine, I just didnât get enough sleep,â You chuckle it off and staple the papers together. âMaybe you should take the rest of the few hours off then, sweetheart.â You smiled softly at him and shook your head. âI canât do that.â Charles shrugs, âNot if I say so.â You peer at him. He nods you off, âGo take it off, or allow me to get you some brunch.â
âMy lunch break doesnât start till 12.â Charles takes the papers out of your hand gently and hands them to Susan. âCan you slide these into Eddieâs bin, please?â She nods and walks off with them allowing you to somewhat relax. He gestures. âCome on, Iâll take you to Homeroom.â You follow Charles down to the large parking lot and see his car parked in the Reserved Area.Â
He opens the passenger door for you and you politely thank him as he hums and closes the door after you. Charles was always a man with a king heart, you never noticed if he has a wife or his own kids, but you never see a ring on his finger. âAlright,â He sighs, sliding in the driverâs seat. âI hope you like mac and cheese, Homeroom is known to have such good food.âÂ
You didnât reject his offer of choice because you were there before but so long ago. You couldnât help but admire Charles as such a great person you have ever met.
Hey Yall! I wanted to let you know that I'm still here and also show you a estimated map to Love & Lies stories.
These titled lands will be introduced and some will be featured in the story. Hope you enjoyed this.
This is also just an idea, I'm debating to make the land longer and fit in the geography of Europe which is probably not planned well.
If you want to know the Ethnics of the Kingdoms, Saphire is known to be the French while Ames Oro is between American and British and Stygian is known to be Icelandic.
Worlds can be different so my world is not similar to our actual world and the other kingdom of Ethnics are Romanian, Swedish and Spanish. You have been introduced to some of those Royals.
Warnings: Language, Adult Themes, War, Fantasy Tropes
Summary: Two kingdoms on the urge of bringing peace between their lands. A benevolent princess who finds music as a fun hobby and invests herself in books. And a belligerent prince who takes whatever he claims his and will soon be crowned for king.
Relationship: Prince!Ransom/Princess!Reader
Prologue Chapter I Chapter IIÂ Chapter III
Huge thanks to @captain-a-rogerss to the edit of Prince!Ransom. Give her some love as always!
I donât consent to have my work hosted on any second party, app, or site. If you are seeing this fanfiction anywhere but tumblr, itâs been reposted without my permission.
Authorâs Note:Â Sorry for delay, I wanted to make this chapter extra special and I also had to gather information I forgot after a year so the plot and character donât ruin themselves by my absence
The rest of the night felt like a total nightmare. The Thrombeyâs and Drysdaleâs completely forgot about the recent comments that you spoke lastly. You were lucky for most of the parts that they never mentioned anything else about you, but the feeling of having Lindaâs son sending you a death look. Not a single second made you think less of him. You were considered a better Royal than him.Â
Without a significant other, you could handle a kingdom on your own.
Perhaps you didnât want to take your fatherâs throne. If James was able to skip his coronation, could you do the same? Skip the princes and do something better than just sit on the chair and hear about the village's life problems when you could do something huge outside your home. Build homes for those who sit out in the cold.Â
Royals always thought less for the poor. If Ransom couldnât help, you were the generation to do it yourself. He would just have to stay out of your way.
You hear a faint knock on your door and the door creaks open. âGood morning, Y/N,â Brodie says, you turn away from your window, wearing your silky blue gown, giving your dear friend a smile. âGood morning, Brodie. Whatâs the occasion?â
She grins, âYour mother has insisted on having you downstairs. She would like to speak with you.â You fully turned and nodded. You were the first to leave your room, Brodie following behind. If your mother speaks about dinner last night, you would have to reason with her. And you know how much she loved the family. You felt like you were the bad person in the room when they came. But the real answer was the family.Â
Even your town was afraid of them.
Your mother never knew about the incident of punching Ransom. If you did, she may lock you up in a tower. Your father had kept the incident from her because he knew her more than you did. She didnât know the full reason why he sent you to that Manor. Your mother only agreed to it with no questions. You could hear your mother chatting to one of the maids as she sat at the long table.Â
âMorning, Ma cherie. Je vous en prie, asseyez-vous,â Your mother says, you listen and take a seat right next to her. Her gentle eyes scanning the letter, she hums, âHow was your ball, yesterday?â You peer up at her, finally grinning. âIt was wonderful. Iâm sure Angelica would have one for her sixteenth?â
Your mother nods, âYes, of course. We wouldâve done that for yours, but sadly your father sent you off to that manor,â She shook her head while you drew your eyes away, sheepishly. âAlso, your father and I were talking about your betrothal. Iâm sure thatâll come in a few months, donât you think, ma cherie-?â
You reach for your face and sighed, âMother, please, can we-â Her hand lifts up to stop you mid-sentence, âAh-ah. Miss Brodie, darling, can you excuse us for a moment?â She asks. Brodieâs face beams up, bowing her head, âYes, Your Grace.â Seconds later, youâre left with your mother in the large room. She taps your forearm, âDonât touch your face, darling. Hands down.â You sigh, turning to her. âI canât do marriage. Iâm not ready-â
âOch. Darling, your brother was to be crowned 10 years ago and he chose to be with a poor lovely woman, your sister wants to be the fairest of them all and you⌠you donât want this?â
âWhat I donât want is having to submit to someone. Yes, I wanted to be queen alone, but I found something else-â You drop your shoulders, helplessly, taking your motherâs hand in yours to have her understand. It only made her shake her head, âThis is what has to happen.â You lowered your head and shook it.
You hear your mother click her tongue, taking your chin, âThe only reason we do this...is to have those who we trust to take our place. And you canât do that alone. No one could,â She lifts your chin up to look up at her. She grins, âWeâll talk more later on. Go on.â You lifted yourself from your seat and left the room. You figured Brodie was somewhere else, so you headed to the stables just outside. Slowly meeting up with your shire horse, Oliver.
âMorning, Oliver,â You say, rubbing your hand down your horseâs back. Oliver sputters towards you as you add the saddle and situated it before getting on. You pat her side, âLetâs go down the river for a bit, okay?â You take the shank in hand and gently guide yourself down the small trail. Your horse takes you down the trail through the woods with flowers and bright green grass.
So much hadnât changed since, the creek you remembered when you skipped rocks and dropped flowers, watching them glide down the ripples.Â
The amount of bunnies you had in the forest. Your mother gave you a pet bunny once. You werenât sure how the poor thing got away. Your horse sputters softly and you hear rustling in the brush. Your horse comes to a stop for you to look around. The sound of galloping horses filled your ears and people were shouting.Â
Your horse lifts up its front hooves causing you to scream in fright as three men are chasing a couple deer down the trails. You couldnât help but scowl. âExcuse me!â You call out, one of them comes to a stop while the other two continue to chase the deer. âYes, milady?â He asked, his familiar uniform gave you the hint of a guard.Â
The similar Lion button was on the front of his horse's chest and his sword was gold and the handle was a leather brown for grip. You hear another pair of horseâs hooves. âHead on, Francis. I didnât tell you to stop, did I?âÂ
âNo, Your Highness,â You hear him say, turning his horseâs head to hunt down the deer. You turn and see Ransom on his dark horse. He ogled yours with disgust, âYou know they do have smaller horses for your size. Thereâs no need to show your pride with that.â You roll your eyes and your horses circled around on the trail. âYou know youâre hunting,â You say.
Ransom looks out to the forest and nods, smugly, âYeah, itâs the season. I have a bigger family than yours, so Iâm in charge of hunting.â
You scoff with a grin, âI know you wouldnât hunt just for food. For your family, youâd call it a sport.â Ransom chuckles at that, lowering his head, looking at the back of his horseâs neck. The ways Ransom had when it comes to hunting, youâve seen him do it in person. He disgusted you in a way. âAnd youâre on my land, I suggest you leave.â
Ransom lifts his head up, âYour land?â He asks, âPardon me, but I donât think after a day of being welcomed back, you donât get to command another Royal to leave when you donât have the upper crown.â You lifted a brow up, cockily, âAsk your men for their sword, Iâll show you.â Ransomâs gaze seemed to darken the second you said that. It didnât change yours either. Your horsesâ continue to circle and you look over to the field.Â
âMy grandfather always told me how much you beat him at Go. He said you had a lot of strategy. Takes years to master.â
âWhy, didnât you?â You asked, chin lifted up like you had the upper hand of being the tougher one here. Ransom halts his horse and so does yours. Your horsesâ noses pointing opposite directions, you and Ransom made eye contact. His dark grin grew, âEven if I told you, I wouldnât try it with you.â
âI know thatâs your way of knowing I would beat you,â You replied. Ransom wasnât always good at anything he did with you. Except that when you two first had your duel, he only became more of an imbecile. Translation: An Asshole. That day, returning after your incident with Ransom whoâs probably feeding his family with Blood Elk they find in the Evergreen Mountain. Blood Elks are the rarest animals in the mountain, their red antlers are wide and tough that stories were told to scare children from running up there.Â
Your father was a hunter when he was young, there was never a time where he didnât have a hunting story to tell. The time he got bit by one of the most strongest bears in the country or the time he shot an arrow at an eagle flying in the sky. He initially taught your brother, James to hunt and eventually James learned how to skin animals and turn them into rugs or just even small things. James had a weird little thing for the anatomy of animals that he became very smart and learned the anatomy of humans, knowing the weak spots and fatal parts of the body. Thatâs why he joined a sport down in town facing mercenaries or other men who challenge on a horse and a spear. Jousting was his favorite hobby of all and he won every championship. Training his way into this championship in Winter, he is always out in the fields taking down sandbags in armor off a friendly horse chasing towards him while an instructor assists.Â
âDarling.â
âYes, mother?â You asked.
Your mother lifts her head up and smiles, âYou're going down to the library in town, are you?â You look down at the book in your hands and close the book, knowing you could read another book. âI might.â Your mother puts her hands on her lap, âI wanted you to go talk to the florist, Miss Nora, she has these flowers from the Spain land, Chocolate Cosmos, so beautiful. You should grab some on your way back.â You then thought now you had to go, you can never refuse a Queenâs request. âOf courseâ AH!â A large thud hits the table and you look up to see a dead deer. You stand up, startled before you collapse into the arms of the same man you met, the boyâs face drowns with worry. âAre you alright, Your Majesty?â You glance at the deer and turn away disgusted that the deer's mouth was open not to your liking.
Ransom peered over the boyâs shoulder and grabbed him, âLet her go,â He growled at his Gillie and the boy helped you back on your feet and let go of you. Your mother and father were more impressed than uncomfortable. Ransom switches his tone, âGood afternoon, Your Majesty.â
âRansom, I didnât know you were still in the Kingdom,â Your mother says, your father grins and raises his palm. âI allowed him to do a little hunting for my men. Theyâre so slow when it comes to hunting deer,â Your father scoffed. You gag and the *Gillie boy turns to you. âWell, thank you, Ransom, this is the nicest thing you could do for us. Should we offer you a room? You look tired.â You shake your head, holding your hand to your mouth. âNo, thank you, I have somewhere else to go for the evening.â Your father waves him off, âThank you, Ransom, youâre welcome to take the deer to our butcher, he shall butcher it for dinner tonight.â Ransom bows a couple inches and turns.Â
*Gillie or ghillie is an ancient Gaelic term for a person who acts as a servant or attendant on a fishing, hunting.
The Gillie boy mutters to you, âYou alright?â
âIâm okayââ
âBen!â Ransom shouts, the boy flinches and gently rubs your shoulder before picking up the deer and struggles to carry it behind Ransom to the Butcher. You looked towards your parents and saw yourself out the door. You had your gown in your fists, angrily making your way through the hall. You hear large footsteps behind and you gasp the second youâre pushed against the wall. Ransom towers over you and grabs your chin with his thumb. âYou donât know how long Iâve waited to see your face.â
âWhat do you mean,â You grit, trying to pull away from him. Ransom grins and looks down at your gown. âAll these colors arenât going to cover up your secrets, Y/N.â His blue eyes look deep into yours. âWhat are you?â He asked, your eyes glare at him, bringing up the similar voice into your head when you were little.Â
âWhat. Are. You?âÂ
You donât answer that and it makes him smirk, âThe thing about deer is that their hearts arenât close to their chest, itâs more halfway down above their stomach and below their lungsâŚâ Ransom puts his finger on your stomach but you could barely feel it through your corset. âYou either take the arrow and fire thereââ He gently jabs your stomach, ââOr you take the arrow and strike it to the neck of its arteries.â He points to your neck and lightly pokes it. Stepping away, he smirks and watches you leave, lifting your gown to remove yourself from that hall. Ransom grins and turns down the other way.
 The next day, Brodie got you ready in a relaxed gown to go out into town, and two soldiers chaperoned you to the library on your fatherâs behalf. Brodie tagged along to help you find the flowers when you stop at the florist. If you were to throw yourself off a course of task, itâs a rule that your parents should know you went to another place. Which you wanted to visit the bakery. You skipped the library causing Brodie and the soldiers to stop, âYour Majesty, the library.â
You wave your hand, âI know, I want to do the florist first.â Brodie sighs and follows along with the soldiers who held their swords hilts in their sheaths. You could barely see their eyes but you can tell their lower faces were a curiosity of how handsome their faces were. You walked up to the small flower shop and saw an old woman fixing some flowers on the display. âMiss Nora.â
âAh, Your Majesty,â She grins, âI know what youâre here for, the Queen asked for a couple dozen of Chocolate Cosmos, my son, Frances traveled to Spain and found these. I always thought your mother was more fond of blue but she has a unique taste.â You chuckled and paid the woman a couple coins, she was in complete awe. âYour Majesty, I canâtââ
âItâs between us,â You winked, the currency you owned was one of the richest gold. Carved in the coin was one of the first Kings of Saphir. The old lady thanked you so kindly, bowing and blessing you with a couple more flowers. Brodie helped you carry some of the flowers gathered in a basket and you made your way over to the library. The castle had a library of its own but there was more of history than there was of nonfiction. You learned to read French by your mother and there were common French books to read, especially Latin. Latin and French are not very distinct from each other but you wanted to learn Latin and many more languages.
âThis book, here⌠Romeoââ
âRead that, already,â You spoke, searching through the books. Brodie steps over to another spine of a book. âSpy of the Stars?â Brodie asked, you looked over and shook your head. âOh!â You peep, reaching into the shelf to pull out a book with a lack of writing and over worn. âGame Without Glory.â You began to read the first chapter and you began to feel already pulled into it. You and Brodie walk out with a couple other books and the soldiers stiffen themselves up when you turn to them, âBakery, next.â
âYour Highness, we were ordered to take you back after your visit with the florist and libraryââ
You sigh and begin to walk towards the Bakery, âIâll be quick, besides, I think my father would enjoy a tarte framboise.â Brodie tags along and without argument the soldiers follow beside her. The welcoming sign of the Bakery and the smell of French bread and sourdough filled the air when you walked in. âStop eating those, theyâre not for you! Youâre lucky Iâm making extra.â
âSo I can have someââ
âStop it, James!â The red haired young girl slapped the hand of the Prince. âAre you harassing her in her own bakery?â James turns still leaned on the counter with a grin. âOf course I am not! Iâm just eating her delicious tartâŚâ He slips another tart into his mouth slowly. Quinn rolls her eyes and pulls the pan of tarts away from him. James lifts himself off the counter and turns around, âWhat are you doing out here?â He notices the soldiers outside of the Bakery. âAh, mom.â
âShe wanted me to stop for some flowers but I wanted to stop for something nice.â
Quinn comes back out and brushes off her gown, âWould you like to take a couple rolls I made? Itâs a new recipe I made.â You beam at her with delight, âOf course, I would love to try some!â Quinn smiles and leaves to go grab the basket. âWould you like me to take you back?â James asked, âI donât like that theyâre sending you off with soldiers everyday."
All you could ever do was smile, "I donât mind them, theyâre like friends.â James gives you a blank look and then nods, âAlright, then. Be safe back home.â Quinn came back with a basket of rolls and added some fruits on the side. âOh, this is wonderful, Quinn, thank you so much.â Quinn grins and bows a little bit. âOf course, I hope youâll like them and your parents, too.âÂ
You chuckle, âI hope not, I donât want my father to make you into our bakery or something.â Quinn laughs and lightly touches James' shoulder. âI wouldnât let him,â James added. Brodie picks up the basket of rolls and you sigh, âAlright Iâm off, thank you again. Iâll see you another day!â
âBye, Y/N!âÂ
When you walk out, the soldiers close in to your side as you step down the stairs. On the way back was a chatty walk, you and Brodie were making plans for the day to check on your horse and as well the garden. When you got home, a maid rushed her way down the stairs, almost out of fear. âYour Highness!â She calls, she stops in front of you and bows. âThe King has requested to see you immediately.â You asked Brodie and the maid to take care of the baskets and made your way to the Great Hall where your father and mother sat at, they were talking to a woman in a red dress and another man standing beside her and a smaller one just a few inches shorter beside them with his hand behind his back and the other in front of him.
You slowly walk up, brushing your hair off your face and fixing your dress. âMa cherie,â Your mother touches your fatherâs hand and he looks. âAh, look who showed up.â
âHello, father.â
âYouâve met the Royals of Romania?â You turn and notice the similar faces from your ball, including their handsome son named Rafael. His mother grins, âWeâve been allies for many generations and Iâve come to an agreement that something should be requested and decided before next fall.â
Your father slightly leans to the side, âThatâs a long wait, you sure you donât want a decision immediately?â The Queen steps up once, âI know after the princessâ return every princess is jealous and every prince wants to take her hand and bear their child but Iâm lettingââ She glances at you, ââthe princess decide what she wants.â You picked at your hands and saw Rafael glance at you with a small grin. âVery wellââ Your father said, âI will give you a letter if there has been any changes or requests for this matter. Thereâs no other Royal Family I will allow my daughter to marry, but it is her decision.â You wanted to say no, but you were worried about the consequences of the arranged marriage.Â
You donât want to get married. Being sent off to a manor that is filled with more women you can imagine that are put through to behave and learn the way of how women should act. But it was different. You got the reality that there can be a change. You hate men. How disgusting and horrible they are, but there was a source of hope that one could come. But you donât know if Rafael or Samuels are one of those men.
âThank you, Your Majesty,â The Queen bows, âBringing our Kingdoms together can break the ideal of war between the others.â The King nods and waves them off, the King and Queen of Romania leave but the son stays and turns to you. He takes your hand gently by giving you a look of consent and you allow him to take your hand and kiss your knuckles softly, still looking into your eyes with gleam. âDo think about it,â His accent was so smooth it had you struck with thought when he walked away with his parents. Your fatherâs strong gaze ripped you out of the trance.Â
âFather, I donât know if youâve heard but I donât want to getââ
âI know you donât want to, but this is the choice of life or death,â He stands up, âI donât know if youâve heard recently thereâs a Royal whoâs trying to get the throne. They call him the Royal of War. His whole Kingdom was destroyed into ruins by every Kingdom because their generations are considered the weak Royals, but now his last generation is him and he will do anything to get to us.âÂ
You realize, now. Marrying can stop war, your biggest fear was being in a war. The blood and the dead bodies have been haunting you ever since you heard stories about the Saphir Wars many decades ago. Your ideal of a world was peace. You didnât argue back and nod once with a bow. âIâll think about it.â Your father nods with great content and waves you off.Â
