Open your closet:

Putting the ball aside, she straightened up again to allow Angela to tend to her face. “You could leave it a little crooked if you like. I hear the ladies like that,” she said with a smirk, avoiding eye contact without making it look like she was avoiding eye contact.

At her comment on leaving it crooked she chuckled a little and tsked her tongue. She was not one to leave an imperfection, but the comment was at least amusing to her. “There are plenty of things to be liked about you, I doubt you need a crooked nose.” 

With the area what she deemed sufficiently clean she steadied Fareeha’s head with her hands on either side of her face for a short moment. Biting her lip she prompted her to hold a bit of cloth beneath her nose to catch whatever blood might surge when she did this next part. “Be very careful to hold still,” this was never pleasant to do - she had done far worse things to correct injuries and wounds, but it was certainly difficult to watch someone who was conscious endure this. 

She placed her thumbs gently at either side of the bridge of her nose, careful not to apply pressure too soon, then gave a very soft countdown, “Eins ... zwei ...” she straightened her back a little and pressed her fingers into the break as she breathed the the final count, “...drei.” She forced the bone back into place as well as she could.

She wrapped her fingers around her mug and lifted it to her lips, sipping her tea more for something to do than a desire to drink it. Unfortunately the calming liquid that usually helped so much was doing nothing for her nerves.

So she could squeeze time in with Lena whenever the young woman needed it.

She considered Lena’s question for a moment as she sipped idly at her tea. It was a bit... much to explain. Not that Lena herself wasn’t bright and brilliant, but definitely... different fields of study. She wasn’t sure how she might delve into detail without it being far too complex and technical. But she didn’t mind the conversation. It could ease them both. 

“More of that, yes. More micromanaging than then, but similar concepts. I’m trying to draft prototypes for field testing but it’s... been a little trying. I need to develop a way that... I can monitor our agents out in the field, some way that... I can be everywhere at once.” She took a long sip, debating going into more detail.

“It’s mostly just theory at this point. There are plenty of portable devices already out there, but I need something... more. Something more potent, more effective. And something that I can monitor from wherever I might be. It’s been... a process.” she chuckled a little sheepishly.

She rolled onto her stomach and propped her chin on her hands. “It is no wonder I was never able to get you in bed,” she hummed. “You don’t cut loose enough. Let your guard down.” She smirked, watching the woman to see her reaction.

Her back straightened and she only offered the other woman a sideways glance. That must be some sort of.. drunken joke, yes? Amélie had always been kind to her, a lovely woman with a good life ahead of her - at least that was how she’d always thought of her. Things certainly did not turn out that way, did they? But that... uh... very direct proposition - it did not seem like something Amélie would have joked about, but... it also didn’t seem like something she could possibly mean.

Of course, she then continued and got into more detail and her eyes widened a little bit. Well, that was... very... unexpected. And as beautiful a woman as she was... this wasn’t even the same person she’d known what felt like so many years ago... She’d been a happily married woman - even if this so called deal was true - of course she’d never really... thought of her in such a way. 

But of course the biggest thing was that this was Widowmaker. Agent of Talon. Part of a team that threatened what good was left in this world. 

“Amélie...” she started softly, her stance was tense but her expression soft. “I am flattered, truly.... But you are... you are very drunk. I think it would be best for you to just get some rest for the night.” 

When they finally made it to the lab, Fareeha stood by the door while Angela unlocked it and once inside, she sat down on one of the stools that was provided, keeping her posture stiff and straight so as to decrease the amount of additional injury to herself.

All she could do was see they kept doing so efficiently.

Once inside she quickly moved throughout the room to gather up whatever she might need. She chuckled at Fareeha’s question and smiled towards her, “This is nothing, you’ll be back in shape in no time. And no,” she shook her head, a few long blond strands falling loosely in her face, “Your nose will not be crooked forever. It may be a little painful for me to set, but at first glance it does not appear to be terribly displaced. It should heal up fine.”

Her lab here was not quite what her lab had been like at Swiss HQ, things were a little bit messy, a little more of a lived in look. But she had what she needed, so it mattered little to her.

“All right this,” she handed a small spherical object to Fareeha, “Is for any pain - it’s a temporary fix, but works a little like my staff, if you recall. Sort of a... mini edition, if you will. I’ve been working on it for a short while and have not been able to quite integrate it in the way I would like, but it should be useful to you now. There is a small release on the top that acts similarly to my healing stream.”

She realizes now she’s... talked an awful lot about it and chuckled a bit embarrassed. “But that’s not important. Just use it if you feel any pain.” 

That out of the way she grabbed a stool of her own, adjusted it higher so she could get a better look at what she was working with, and very carefully began to clear some of the blood away with a lightly dampened cotton ball. 

“I promise mein lieb, I am held together by strong stuff than would appear. I know I can not stop you from worrying, but I do rest when I can.”

She listened with a soft but warm smile that hid that small pang of dread that struck her at Lena’s next comment. Yes, it... was much easier to get through the day when you had things to keep focused on. It wasn’t even a conscious habit of hers to try and bury invasive thoughts, but it was certainly an invisible driving factor in her pursuits. 

That didn’t matter though, and she didn’t even flinch, she simply nodded and reached a hand over to place reassuringly over Lena’s.
