I still remember our first hug. I haven’t hugged anyone in years. My first hug, my last hug. It was more potent than any strand of marijuana I’ve ever smoked. I still remember our first hug and if I didn’t know any better– It was worse than the drugs I’ve taken. It was more intoxicating than the liquor I couldn’t handle. A pure gesture from the universe to be loved, to be cared for and to be torn from.
