What would be your go to study steps for an exam?
Things to do a day before exam
1) Prep your stationery - Make sure you have all you need like if its math exam make sure you have your compass and ruler or just pens, pencils and stuff.
2) Check your syllabus - Re-check your syllabus for any extra topics you might have missed or kept for reviewing later.
3) Use active recall rather than passive - Please do not re-write or re-read your old notes. Review your flashcards if you make them and if you don't just use your textbook read a topic's heading, cover the context, close your eyes and try to remember all you know releated to that topic. Repeat with all content.
4) Make your own questions - Although this can be time consuming, I would highly recommend making your own questions out of a topic's paragraph. For example if the paragraph says "Bruno was six when we brought him home. He was used to it in a day. Bruno used to be more intelligent than other dogs" Now you can frame questions like "What age was Bruno of when author brought him his home?" "How is Bruno different than other dogs?" "Which line in the paragraph symbolizes the fact that Bruno is a very adjustable dog?"
5) Sleep Early - With a clear head and no thoughts of previous studying, try to sleep early and relax your mind for the upcoming tsunami.
6) Active recall X 2 - While pooping, brushing, bathing, making breakfast, travelling to exam hall, waiting for exam try thinking of a very short summery of what you learnt yesterday it can be 2 lines per chapter but trUSt me this helps a lot with panic and nerves.
Thanks for reading!
