ꫂ ၴႅၴ bakugo stares at you, like he’s analyzing every detail about you. your hair isn’t styled the way it usually is and hasn’t been for a couple days now. the clothes you wear have gotten more baggy and bland, not the colorful ones you usually wear.

he watches you pick at your food while you sit at your desk looking over some homework. the first day it started happening he obviously noticed; bakugo notices everything.

“oi, what’s wrong?” bakugo props up on your bed waiting for your response but only gets a sigh and a head shake. for the past three days he’d asked you the same question. “bullshit. you’ve been mopping around for the past couple of days and you expect me not to notice?” he gets up from his spot on your bed and makes his way over to you.

spinning your hello kitty chair around to face him, bakugo grabs the handles and traps you. his face was full of concern and worry. you’re never like this. of course you’re shy but you still have a bubbly personality! now, you look up at him with dark circles under your eyes and barley any spark in them.

finally speaking more than one word, “i’m just tired. especially with all the homework.” bakugo ain’t stupid. he knows you’re lying to him. there’s something wrong that isn’t tiredness or homework. bakugo squints his eyes but neither less lets it go for now.

later that night he texts the one person who might can help him; kirishima.

| do you know anything about girls?

| well hello!?

| answer the damn question kirishima.

bakugo describes to kirishima how you’ve been acting only to get a reply: yeah i have no idea man. just buy her some flowers and food. bakugo grits his teeth. he knew he shouldn’t have asked him, but bakugo takes his advise and buys you a pink and white bouquet of flowers the next day.

it is saturday morning when bakugo showed up to your house, holding the flowers kirishima told him to get and a box of your favorite sweet. this is so out of character of him but he loves you and would do anything for you.

when you open the your front door, it shocks you to see your, usually, feral boyfriend holding flowers in his hands. your brows shot up instantly, “umm… katsuki, what is going on?”

bakugo huffs awkwardly. this is totally out of his comfort zone. “is it wrong to get my girl flowers for once?” with a small chuckle you take the flowers from him and making sure to give a fat smooch on his cheek.

you welcome him inside then make your way to the kitchen to fill a vase of water so you can put the new pretty flowers in. bakugo watches you walk away. you are still wearing baggy clothes and have dark circles. seeing the flowers though made a small light comeback to them.

he makes his way up to your room and opens the door. it was a train wreck. chip bags laying on the floor and on your nightstand, empty drink bottles on the floor, and to top it all off it looks like a tornado of clothes just destroyed your room. bakugo feels a tug on his sleeve. his head whips around to see you trying to pull him away.

“c’mon let’s sit on the couch. my room is a mess and i don’t want you seeing that.” you drag him to the couch, letting go of his sleeve then plopping yourself down on the cushions. bakugo just stands staring at you. “what?” you look up at him with a pout.

bakugo just sighs and takes a seat beside you. he expected you to at least attempt to put your legs on his lap, but it never came. “oi, numb nuts. what has gotten into you? seriously. you’ve been acting weird. seems like you’re trying to avoid me or something.” his voice got quieter on the last part.

you stare at him for a minute then close your eyes with a sigh. “do you think i’m good enough for you?” a tick pops up in bakugo’s forehead. “the fuck you talking about? of course your good enough for me! hell, you’re more than enough. where the hell did this come from?”

puffing out your cheeks, your eyes burn with tears but they don’t spill. “this girl in my class told me i wasn’t worthy or good enough for you to be with someone like me and that you deserve someone better, someone that is stronger.” bakugo swears he sees red. his fist clench in his lap and burn because of his quirk flaring up.

“you really listened to some bitch tell you who’s good enough for me? tch, acting like i don’t know what’s good for myself.” bakugo scoffs at the thought of someone trying to dictate his opinions. you lean up to take his hand and fidget with his fingers. they a warmer than usual.

bakugo laces his fingers with yours. you look up at him with slightly red eyes. his own stare back down at you. they are softer than normal when he looks at you. “i love you. the only person who knows what i want is myself. don’t listen to the shit everyone is talking.”

a stray tear makes it way down your cheek. bakugo brings a hand to cup your cheek and wipes away the tear with his thumb. “don’t do that shit. i thought you were dying for the past week.” you laugh with a sniffle. bakugo tightens his grip on your hand then he leans in to press a soft kiss on your lips.

“i love you, kats.”

“i love you.”

Middle School Izuku with a crush

Izuku who’s lowkey kinda scared of you himself. The way you can hold your ground against others, let alone Katsuki. It’s really kinda crazy. And maybe that's why he’s so scared of you. The other students know not to walk all over you, they know you can hold your own, and are very aware that you know how to fight back. The first time you’d defended him against Katsuki he thought you would’ve turned your back on Katsuki and redirect your focus on him. But for some reason you hadn’t.. Well you had turned your back to Katsuki, but you were sweet and caring when interacting with Izu. A very welcome change of pace.

Izuku who’s a bit more on edge when Katsuki is targeting him even more. Ever since you’d defended him Katsuki had been so much worse, like he couldn’t stand the idea of someone standing up for him. But you were watching, you always had been. So you made sure to put yourself in between the two of them when necessary. In fact you’d been by Izuku’s side way more than you ever had before. And it was definitely an odd feeling for him, he’d never really had friends before. 

Izuku who’s never had a friend before. Like ever. And the fact that the friend in question is a girl?? Boy he’s a mess. He was already a bit of an awkward mess before, but now it’s way worse, but you find it kinda endearing. He’s stuttering over his sentences, and can barely look you in the eyes. You kinda think he’s scared of you at first. But then notice that he gravitates towards you unconsciously. 

Izuku who’s a bit hesitant to let you see his journal. He doesn’t want you to think he’s some freak. Some creepy stalker, even though it’s all publicly available information, it’s just a little bit excessive. He’s especially worried about you seeing the pages he’d dedicated to you. So he makes sure to keep those away from your prying eyes. 

Izuku who spends the school days by your side. He sits next to you whenever possible. And the teachers even move the two of you closer, mostly because they’ve never seen him making friends before and they feel kinda bad… You sit together at lunch, talking about nonsense, you’d even brought him to sit with your other friends a couple of times. The two of you walk home side by side even if you don’t live in the same area, he knows his mom will understand him being late if it was because he was walking a girl home. (he’s very aware that you can handle yourself.)

Izuku who brings you home with him sometimes. His mom loves you. She loves that her son has someone to talk to, and someone who can stand up for him. She adores you, you're like the daughter she never had. She’s always asking about you, asking her son to bring you over for dinner, to study or to even go shopping with them over the weekend. He’s a bit embarrassed showing you his room at first, but is pleasantly surprised when you pay it no mind. The two of you become best friends! And maybe he’ll work up the courage to tell you how he feels?
