…and there is literally no reason for fans to elevate Aegon to heroic status while dismissing Rhaenyra as an evil bitch. They are both evil because they are both monarchs with a bloodthirsty desire to claim the thrown, a literal symbol of the depravity of their family, at the expense of the common folk.

They both feel entitled to it. Rhaenyra, because of prophesy and because she was declared the heir. Aegon, because he was literally born male. That is it. If you look at Rhaenyra’s ruthlessness in getting what was promised to her and you think she is just a bitch but then you look at Aegon’s ruthlessness as him doing what needs to be done to get what is “rightfully” his then you’re a misogynist.

You’re a misogynist not because you should support and agree with Rhaenyra but because you believe that when men abuse their power to reach their goals, it’s acceptable, but a woman who does it must be reduced down to insults of their gender. But guess what? Aegon is also a bitch and a whore and the common folk die by the thousands either way.
