Well hello redesign on the left. This is one of my favorite characters from the silly story im writing. They used to be named Jules, but I've since switched to calling them Aurnia. Like the witch from my other post, they're a Dunen, but they come from another clan - hence their eyes and horns being different. But like the witch, they're trans feminine and have to find ways to find gender euphoria in a world that believes you cant exist. At 24 years old they're the second youngest of their merc group, The Iron Rustcloaks. They're far too welcoming to be your average merc, so why did they join with the Rustcloaks? And more importantly how are they dating three other mercs in the company including the 6'8" muscle mommy Gorza? (Its their charm)

Honestly while The Witch and Rilk are the co-protagonists, Aurnia really feels like a secondary protagonist. They work as both a parallel and foil to the Witch, with both of them being Trans femme Dunen.

As far as the art goes - this was a quick one but im really happy overall with how it came out. I know I went overboard with the harsh shadows, but once I started I couldn't stop and they were just so much fun. I might have to look into this style of dramatic shading when i have time. This is one of those pics where comparing it shows how much ive grown since last year. I feel almost weird how much they changed between designs, but this is actually much closer to their original design in my head than the first one.

I've been debating if her clan of Dunen shall get eye shines, so enjoy one extra version of her with them too.

Yay rilk! Finally another piece of him i like. He is getting so close to how I want him to look. I just keep chipping away at him and I am excited for how my art has been developing. He's my favorite grump and the co-protagonist of my project. He's a branen, a fantasy species that are able to change their biological sex amongst other things, but he has always been sure he's a "man". In many ways he's the inverse of the witch, who fought to magically transition. Buuuut regardless, I still have a ton of work to do with him. Still fun to look back on my original doodles from last year.

But like... im really happy with how far I've come from the first time i tried to draw him digitally too. He actually looks like a person to some degree now! Thankfully hes really fun to draw, so enjoy a sketch, then my three favorite finished pictures of him oldest to newest including another version of the newest one where i actually have the line art looking closer to how I want it.

The Witch has had a lot more revisions and so I decided to have some fun and make my latest piece with her have a very nostalgic wall of text. Even now there are many things I can see I want to change on her - but considering how little time to draw, I'm really happy with how she turned out and is developing. The goal with her is to have her feel otherworldly to the other characters - which is why originally I had her have the black sclera's but I want to try and avoid making her Too edgy. That being said maybe she shows off too much hips in this one.

Below are some of my early attempts at her, starting with the one immediately to the left. I really liked how I did her rings around her horns in that one. The others were important in me finding out more about her fashion and how I want to portray her body.
